Brittle Asthmatic - 25 Years old.
Hello, I'm a young man from the UK I've been an asthmatic all of my life. As a young baby maybe 1 month old, I contracted TB (Tuberculosis), at the same time i had bronchitis and pneumonia so as you can image being so young and fragile i was extremely unwell and nearly died, In fact i was ventilated

CLL spreading to lungs?
Hi, My name is Susie & I’m 53 years old. I had aggressive chemo in ‘13 because I was in so much pain & it really helped me. I have been sick with bronchitis probably 4x a year & it takes forever to end. I’m currently recovering from pneumonia (7 weeks in) & I’ve had a serious cough & shortness of breath

Poorly Controlled Asthma - Help!
I have been an asthmatic since I can remember so from being a baby, and I’m now 36. Problem is it’s very poorly controlled; has been for a while now, under the chest clinic, tried different inhalers, medication etc - no joy, my peak flow is usually 350ish and I’ve been on 6 prednisolone daily for six

Getting help.
After 3 wks of seeing 4 Doctors I was admitted to hospital with severe chest infection. I was eventually put on a Nebulizer which did help. The past weeks have been a constant battle to try and get thru to the Doctor how atrocious I felt. Almost giving up.i don't want to ever go through that again.

Anyone got traceomalacia?
I've finally been diagnosed with traceomalacia after numerous appointments, tests, two bronchoscopies and miss diagnosis'. I've been told it's also called floppy airways. Not given any information on it. My specialist didn't even tell me how severe it is. Luckily my gp told me my airway closes between

How to pack a nebuliser for a flight?
Hello, quick question for the many experienced on this forum! Should a mains powered nebuliser go into hold or cabin luggage? Not travelled with all this stuff before so a little wary! Thank you, Deb

What would you do?
Okay. So last Wednesday I went to the out of hours GP for what I thought was a chest infection however I was rushed round to A&E and kept in over night on a nebuliser and put on steroids. The one doctor stated i could possibly have had a virus. When the consultant came to see me, she asked me to see

Have any of you been diagnosed with aspergillosis?
I was diagnosed back in November and prescribed anti fungal medication and steroid nebuliser. I had never heard of this ailment before and wondered if anyone else was a sufferer.

At what point do I really need to go to A&E?
Hi. New to all this. Started about 14mths back with a case of oh dear, why can't I breathe. NHS helpline said get to A&E. Went. Had nebuliser with something else and some steroids. Kicked out next morning with blue Ventolin, pf meter and that was it. Over next few weeks had a couple more can't breathe
