Nebulisers for emergency treatment of asthma
Hello, I am a final year design student at Brunel University and I am working on a project to redesign the existing nebuliser masks used by the ambulance service. I was just wondering if anyone has any experiences of being treated via these masks? Any details you can share about the experience would

Dizzy with Nebuliser.
I was given a Nebuliser by my Respiratory Nurse to try. On my 2nd day I'm finding that it does loosen the Sputem but it makes me very dizzy and light headed. As well as COPD I have Heart failure and read somewhere that they're not suitable for people with that. Shall I carry on "Nebulising" or stop

small plastic ampoules containing liquid used for nebuliser
Does anyone use medicine in little plastic ampoules (for instance the liquid is put into a nebuliser). I have collected my empty plastic ampoules (I have two bags full) and wonder if anyone knows where I can take them to be recycled. I don’t want to just put them in the rubbish or recycling.

Increase in symptoms but peak flow normal?
Sorry for this long thread but I need some advice, I will also be sending a similar email to my specialist hoping she can help me out too. So at my last visit I was pursuaded to give fostair another go for my eosinophilic asthma as symbicort is not bringing the eosinophilic down enough. (Never got on

Never Ending Cough!
I will apologise now for this very long post! Any help or information would be appreciated. I have UCTD, RA & Small Fibre Neuropathy and was diagnosed originally in 2004 with just the UCTD. I wrote on here 18 months ago regarding a never ending cough/chest infection that I kept getting antibiotics for

Hospital admission bad asthma with no wheeze
Went to A&E this morning after a terrible night. Went in with a really tight chest unable to speak or get air in or out properly. Was expecting problems as no wheeze. But to my surprise the doctor looking after me could see I was struggling and not responding well to Salbutamol nebs. ITU was mentioned

Bad Time I Had
Whilst in hospital for a stroke, I developed a chest infection & this played havoc with my asthma, had to use the nebuliser several times & ended up on oxygen as I wasn't getting enough into my lungs

A&E visit
I bit the billet this morning and went to hospital to put my mind at ease. Ecg bloods and X-ray all fine however the doctor said they could hear some wheezing and tightness in chest. Hasn’t helped one bit as I’m still pretty breathless. Such a horrible feeling. Said I may have a chest infection but haven

Newbie still finding stuff out
I have very recently been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, the cough is particularly troublesome. I want to ask is a nebuliser something that would help me, I would just be looking at mist inhalation of either saline or straight water. Thank you

Xolair Approved!
After 2 long years of persistence and patience, along with many, many attacks, today I was finally told that I have now been granted approval to start Xolair! I was super nervous going into my appointment today after “failing” my methacholine challenge test last week. Luckily, I have an asthma specialist

Update on cases for portable nebuliser
Can't find my old post on this so updating. Been hitting the neb a lot recently as asthma is being an absolute pain after this virus and doesn't want me to do much and if I do go out will end up nebbing with the portable (inside get the beast out). (in the interests of promoting good asthma behaviour

Hospital pressures and early discharges
Last night I self discharged from one of the most traumatic hospital stays I’ve had! A bit of background- I was diagnosed asthma in may - raised eosinophils and FeNo. Started on relvar and all appeared to be good, fast forward to October 16th I suddenly developed this tight cough, struggled to to catch
