Nebulisers
I need to purchase a nebuliser. My GP will prescribe the nebulas but doesn’t provide loan machines or recommend brands. There are hundreds on the internet and I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Update on my Wife's Condition
First of all I'd like to say thanks to people who told me that we were in early days. Even a month ago though (10 weeks after my wife's accident) I wasn't personally positive of much change - she was not showing much sign (to me at least) of regaining any real consciousness and was informally assessed

Pseudomonas Infection - colomycin nebs
Hi, back in July I was diagnosed with pseudomonas lung infection, it was found in sputum sample following an infection that wouldn’t clear. I had ciprofloxin first, then my respiratory consultant prescribed 3 months of colomycin nebs - I’m due a review next week and just wondering what to expect? Thanks

Fantastic experience at a&e
I have heard of so many asthmatics, myself included, who have had a poor experience at a&e as they cough rather than wheeze and wanted to share a positive story. My asthma has been up and down over the past few months and on more than one occasion I have struggled far longer than I should have as I didn't

Why Do I Keep Getting Pleurisy ?
Why do I keep getting pleurisy ? I don't smoke , never had , no history of asthma - I was hospitalised in June and given an x-ray confirming it was in the bottom of my left lung and I was given six steroid pills and two sessions on a nebuliser . Then my GP said I had asthma . I'm a woodwind player !

Hi, I had a bad asthma flare on Monday. GP put me on prednisolone. 4 days later and still struggling, coughing fits every 20mins, chest tightness and finding breathing tiring. Had 8 puffs of Fostair and 9 puffs of ventolin today and still struggling. GP told me to go to A&E as I needed a nebuliser. No

Use of nebulisers
My daughter was using a nebuliser with a drug for pseudomonas but she was taken off it because it was making her more breathless . She is still waiting for an alternative a month on ! But should she go back to using her original saline nebuliser meanwhile ? is it advisable to use a saline nebuliser

Autologous stem cell COPD therapy
Hi, I underwent an excision of my left lung due to cancer in 2017, I am 70 years old and from the day of the operation I decided not to use medicines but to rely only on rehabilitation, good nutrition, and lots of exercise. The only help I have are sprays of saline with eucalyptus drops 3 times a day

Nebuliser
Advice desperately needed. Pulmonologist has taken me off revlar ellipta and incruse as he said it’s not getting into lungs and prescribed atrovent and pulmicort nebulisers. After 6 days I’m certainly no better and maybe worse. I’ve finished the antibiotics and weaning off prednisone. My question for

SP02% readings
So when I spoke to the doctor about the nebuliser situation a few weeks (or whatever) ago he mentioned monitoring my SP02%. Now normally mine is around 96-98%, occassionally higher. Usually only goes lower during attacks (e.g. been at 78% before, not uncommon for me to go to 88% and lower when in bad

Sore throat with nebuliser
I’ve just started using a saline nebuliser and have found it’s giving me a sore/dried out throat. I’m making sure I drink lots of water after use but I’m still having some issues. Is there anything recommended to reduce these issues? Thanks!
