Last week i posted about my sob -well, on thursday i managed to get an appointment to see a Doc (first in 2 years), i was really sob and when i walked in he sat me down gave me a nebuliser and phoned an ambulance, which turned up in 5 mins i was in hospital overnight given all the usual procedeures and x rays, let me home Friday morning i have just had a phone call from the hospital telling me i have a small pneumo thorax and will i come in for more x rays, i wonder why it wasn't spotted while i was there.

I’m really pleased your doctor gave you a face to face appointment. Ok you had to go to hospital but at least things are being sorted out now. Wishing you well whit. Xxx😘

When I was in hospital last year I had a chest x ray while in A&E but it wasn't looked at in detail until 2 days after when I had been admitted to a ward and kept in hospital. A similar thing may have happened to you or the area may be so small that further x rays are needed for clarity. On the plus side, I'm glad that you saw your doctor and your problems are being investigated.

By the time you have read this your small pneumo may have resolved itself,i hope so but as you will see they are not always easy to diagnose?atsjournals.org/doi/10.1513...

Really good that you actually got to see a Dr and then given appropriate treatment and tests . Bit of a nuisance having to go back but better to find and get everything treated and hopefully you’ll be feeling much better soon 🙏

The operatives confirm the x-rays are satisfactory in quality. They are then referred to someone else to examine in detail. Obviously detailed examination takes time and is not done instantly.
