Adrenaline during asthma attacks
Anyone had this? How does it work? I had an adrenaline injection and the rest nebulised (along with hydrocortisone, magnesium, atrovent nebs, and salbutamol nebs) yesterday evening during a bad attack (silent parts of my chest again etc.). Not staying in any longer than needed being discharged today

I don't know what to do???
In hospital, on a ward, having an asthma attack. They won't give me nebs as I'm not desatting and my wheeze isn't "low down" whatever that means. They basically don't think this is an asthma attack. I know this is early on in the attack phase so I can compensate, but my peakflow is dropping and I'm

Aspergillius
Hi again, can anyone advise on a Aspergillius allergy? I’ve been told it’s an allergy and it’s not in my lungs. I have had extremely high IEg (over 5000) on an infection and IGG which left Bronchitasis. So it’s now checked in samples however it’s triggering my asthma all the time. I’m using a nebuliser

Hello, advice please on staph infections, I’ve had IVs twice and many oral meds last IV ended 6 weeks ago and now I have pseudomonas. On Ciprofloxacin had one week with one more to go. Pleurisy is now back. I’m on inhaled Colomycin and it’s never ending and I’m so fed up! I’m asthmatic as well so

Unsure what it is as not a chest infection or covid-19.
I ended up at A&E all last night with my asthma. The ambulance had to give me a nebuliser because I had a bilateral wheeze on both sides. The hospital did bloods and chest x ray and said that my chest is clear, no sign of infection and that it is musco-skeletal but yet I was still breathless. Now I'm

Really Struggling with Fostair
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with asthma last spring after contracting Covid. It started relatively mild, I was prescribed a Ventolin blue reliever and a brown, steroid inhaler (Soprobec) which I took every day with a spacer. My symptoms seemed very manageable and I only had a minor flare up when I had

Advice on asthma as I have run out of options !
I recently visited someone with a cat for about an hour and ended up having a big asthma flare up. I went to hospital twice for nebs and one of these I required magnesium. I didn't have a big wheeze but was told they thought that was likely as I couldn't get enough air entry. 1 week later and I'm still

O2 saturation and heart rate
May I ask if anyone takes measurements of O2 saturation during asthma attacks? Do you see numbers drop significantly during attacks? I know my asthma is bad when I cannot talk in sentences and must lie down to let it pass. While lying down, the heart rate is at 130 and stays until rescue inhaler kicks

Phlegm in abundance for nearly two years. Is there any known condition that causes this much phlegm over a long period without diagnosis?
Mucus in abundance: I cough up or simply clear my throat dozens of times a day bringing up a tablespoon of mucus each time. I can fill a 12 ounce water bottle with the slimy stinky stuff each day. I currently am eating well but loosing weight from 150 down to 143 over a couple of months. I had gained

Why wont my specialist let me have a nebulizer and oxygen at home
Every time I have to call the paramedics they all say that with all my lung problems why do I not have at least a nebulizer and oxygen back up. It is my obstinate specialist who says that people sit on nebulizers instead of going to A&E. you might overdose on oxygen. You might vomit into the mask and

Follow up
So, just a follow up from my post 3 days ago. I continued to struggle so yesterday I went to A&E. I was very reluctant, as I've never done this before. I shouldn't have worried, as I received amazing care. I was seen immediately, with no waiting at all. I had several meds, including nebs and hydrocortisone

Not sure what to do
Hi. This is a first time post. I've struggled to keep my asthma under control for 5 months, since my vaccine. I had a bad flare up 2 weeks ago. My doctor prescribed Prednisone 40mg for 5 days plus antibiotics. This didn't seem to help, and I returned to the surgery on Tuesday. Doctor said my chest is

Even though I do over 2 hours lung drainage every day (1 hour morning , 15 mins afternoon, then another hour evening) I still get a tickling sensation and mucus left in the lungs - particularly the left lung which is the worst one. It means I am grunting for much of the day. Annoying for me and my

Lung Function Tests and Nebuliser
I'm used to Lung function tests, I've had a fair few, I know when to stop my inhalers, no hard exercise (not done that for years). However, nowhere in the paperwork says if I should use my nebuliser, as usual, on the test day or not. I've only had the nebuliser since last September, I didn't think to

Portable nebulisers
I am wondering if anyone could recommend a rechargeable portable nebuliser as I am currently unable to venture outside due to only having a mains nebuliser. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
