Fatigue four years post viral meningitis
Hi there, I had viral meningitis on October 2012. I am currently working full time in the education area. I am experiencing some crushing fatigue and brain malfunctioning at different times. Usually when I am not so busy so the adrenaline doesn't keep me going. I have suffered chronic migraines post

Meningitis.
I was only 17 when I was diagnosed, to others this may not mean much to others. But for me it means the last 4 years I've lost a social life, friends and relationships because of meningitis. My symptoms are recurring, daily headaches, vomiting, hot/cold flushes, I even suffer with being deaf in one ear

Hi all My name is Ian, I'm 55 years old and have early onset Parkinson's disease. I was diagnosed in 2011, but had symptoms going back to the mid-90s. Shingles?
HI, I was diagnosed with PMR over a year ago and have been doing very well with very slow reductions of pred. I have felt very well in myself. I now have a pain in my back. Waist height, right hand side. A niggle for a few days, then it became much worse. A deep dull constant ache, not sharp. It

Bacterial meningitis sufferer
I am now home resting from a bout of bacterial meningitis. I was in the hospital for 8 days. They said if I hadn't come in the day I did I would have died the next day! Great news to hear! This happened after a few surgeries on my back which included putting in and taking out a spine pain pump. This

Possible causes of unresolved thyroid illness
The impact of Lyme Disease and other chronic infections is ignored by health specialists in the UK, both NHS and private. I urge anyone still suffering from what they believe to be the symptoms of thyroid dysfunction, despite having received endocrine replacement, to read this article which is merely

Pmr and shingles
Should I be worried about being at a party with someone with shingles. She's just realised she's got it. Kept my distance! One hug!

I'm a 68 yr. old male and I was diagnosed in 2006 and am presently awaiting DBS. I also have sciatic nerve problems that will not let up. My family Dr. tells me that DBS could take care of the sciatic problem, do anyone know this for sure?

I don't know what to do
Hey everyone haven't posted in a while, but I'm struggling right now. My stress levels have definitely decreased, but I am out of work due to things going on in my head. I've gone to the doctor multiple times and I've tried to explain what's going on, but the things I'm feeling in my head are literally

scattered thoughts written here
made a facebook because apparently I have no identity without one. It feels disgusting to be on there. Waiting for likes, for comments, for reactions. Waiting for people to acknowledge my existence in a virtual world. Friending people that aren't my friends. Lurking up on people who aren't my friends

Ever since I had DBS back in 2006 my emotions appear to have become much more polarised . Fortunately the vast majority of the time I am happy and smiley but I can start crying at a tv show / film / song or just something i am thinking about like never before in an instant and if something upsets

Hi all, since my panic attack on Monday my vision and headaches have been bad, I have seen two doctors and they assure me everything is fine and today I also had an eye test, they told me I need reading glasses for my left eye only +0.5 though. That's all they found, should this be enough to convince
