Sudden Downturn
My spouse has the DBS in oct 2016. The past 6 months, he’s been falling daily. Forgetting, occasionally leaving stove on... Finally, the doctor convinced him to get a walker. We’re also testing him to see if he can drive. I upped his devices to 3.7voltz a month ago but the dr put them at 4.0 yesterday

Feel like my head is going to blow up.
Has anyone else got a feeling like they have pressure in their head and it’s going to burst. It’s not a headache, but a bitter feeling inside. I suppose it feels like a tight feeling, stiff and like it gets locked. So hard to describe. I’m thinking all sorts of things, but mainly that it might be a tumour

is saying, underlying heart condition - un-diagnosed - imminent
death
. In the past I have had countless ECGs, blood tests, a halter monitor and an Echocardiogram. - all fine. The heart monitor was around 5 years ago and the Echo 3/4 - could much have changed in that time?

Shingles vaccination
Hi, I know this has been the subject of previous posts, but, as it did not concern me at the time, I paid no attention to the replies! Anyway, yesterday I was told by a nurse in our surgery that I am now the right age for the shingles vaccination - I am 78. Are there likely to be any problems bearing

Ca125 advice
Hello, I had a dermoid cyst removed last week. It was brought forward by 2 months due to my CA125 levels being 49. The doctor doesn’t seem too phased by this but I can’t help but worry about what this really means. The tumour (dermoid cyst/ teratoma) has been sent for testing and I have been told it

Is it possible to get viral meningitis from mice or only bacterial meningitis? Because I got viral meningitis and my flat was full of mice and mice feces and urine and I have severe social anxiety and sometimes can go up to 6 months without seeing someone.I read somewhere on the internet that it's possible

Nilotinib/Tasigna revisited for treatment of Ataxias.
Those types of SCAs are all the result of toxic proteins that build up in the
brain
and cause cellular
death
in the cerebellum. Autophagy is a fancy word meaning the drug cleans out toxic proteins, and that means Nilotinib is an excellent candidate to treat some SCAs.

Problems with sinemet
Hi, I have a question, my husband is the one with Parkinsons. Any amt he takes makes him like this. Also

Dystonia Tardive
I am new here. I am contemplating DBS for tardive dystonia and wonder if there is anybody who has experienced this procedure for this condition- just to discuss pros and cons.
