It was brought forward by 2 months due to my CA125 levels being 49. The doctor doesn’t seem too phased by this but I can’t help but worry about what this really means. The tumour (dermoid cyst/ teratoma) has been sent for testing and I have been told it takes up to three weeks.
I am probably overthinking things but any advice is really appreciated.

Hello...if you only had surgery last week your ca 125 won’t yet have settled down following the trauma. This level isn’t too far over what’s considered normal...so try to focus on getting better if you can.... I know it’s hard when you don’t know what is going on but waiting is the worst bit. Best of luck...I hope (in the best possible way) you discover you don’t need this group after all xx
HI, I think you have a good doctor he is doing the right thing by you , as you said he is not too phased and your level is still low , try and keep your chine up I hope the results are good ...take care Lorraine xx
Hi there. Maybe the cyst caused the ca125 to be slightly elevated? Hang in there for now and try not to think about the lab result too much before it's available (I know, easier said than done).
But here's what I'd also rate as positive: Your surgeon didn't mention (or so I assume) any other cysts or tumours or anything else suspicious that he saw during surgery.. so I'd assume the only issue to be dealt with was indeed the teratoma and that it was contained to one area/organ. That's good.
Wishing you the best of luck with the lab results. Maus
