I have Et jak and asked my hemo if I should get shingle shot. Was told yes. Now I’m reading that I shouldn’t because it’s a live vaccine. Losing confidence in this dr

Hi Petsch - I just got the shingles shot, and have ET, and the new kind (brand name: Shingrix) is not live. The former kind of shingles shot was live, so things have changed and your doc is right. It's a two part-shot (at least here in Canada) - second injection a minimum of 8 weeks after the first. Hope that helps.
