Negative FIT test - but totally paranoid.
Has anyone on here experienced a negative fit test and still had bowel cancer? I have been bleeding from my bowel on about 2 days of each month during my period only, for about the last 18months. I have only had 2 episodes outside of my period (which were the following Monday when I finished on the Saturday

Blood in stool?
Apologies for the gross image.. I have had blood in my stool for the last few days, almost a week now. I used to get hemorrhoids but dont seem to have one. No itching, pain or any blood on the toilet paper. I checked in a mirror and have no visible hemorrhoid or fissures externally. Haven't eaten anything

Colon cancer or what? Help!
First off, I’ll start by saying I am a hypochondriac. I will google all day long and memorize every symptom to everything I may have. Ugh. So about a week and a half ago I became very constipated. I reached out to my GP who recommended taking a full bottle of Mirilax with two big gatorades. I

Has anyone tried Mebeverine or Alverine Citrate?
Although I have had IBS for over 20+ years the last 4/5 years have been virtually non-stop. Two years ago I had lots of tests including a gastroscope with biopsies, a colonoscopy, ultra sound scans and a ct scan. Nothing was found. But still the symptoms persist. I have tried so much over the years and

Ultra radical surgery next week!
I suppose they know best - the alternative seems to be to wait for complete
bowel
obstruction
, so no real choice. The team at Nottingham City seem very competent but I think the surgeon actually doing it is one I haven’t met which unnerves me a bit. Any advice please?

Cancer, My Story
Hi, a 20 year survivor of colon cancer. 15 cms of large intestine resection to small. Would I like to have had the colostomy? I sure would have. Those I know who have had colon cancer do have a better life style than I. Travel, dining out, and social activities are very difficult as I must eat at least

Cancer 'power failure' stops the spread of tumor cells
Sirturo, targeted the fuel supply of cancer cells and blocked metastasis by nearly 85%. The drug had no effects on normal cells, thereby minimizing side-effects. It found that treatment with Sirturo caused a 'power failure," but only in cancer cells. Sirturo is already FDA-approved, with these findings
