Has anyone on here experienced a negative fit test and still had bowel cancer?
I have been bleeding from my bowel on about 2 days of each month during my period only, for about the last 18months. I have only had 2 episodes outside of my period (which were the following Monday when I finished on the Saturday).
I have had a negative FIT test, all my bloods done and my iron is only slightly low at 40 along with various rectal examinations along with a hospital trip where they looked at my bowel (not a colonoscopy).
For the last couple of weeks (since the hospital appointment), I have noticed my stools are loser and instead of going once a day I am going twice. Could this just be anxiety, as I am googling bowel cancer, symptoms, statistics, forums at least 5 times a day, or do you think this is my body telling me something is seriously wrong.
Any support/advice will be appreciated.

I too have recently started experiencing more often bowel movements, from once a day to now 2 times a day, with looser stools and some abdominal pains. I am now hit with anxiety. I hope your problems have resolved.
Blood in the stool is never normal. I am glad they have done some tests on you, but you continue to have blood. I would say you need to get a colonoscopy. Fit tests ae great, but not always 100% accurate. Blood doesnot men colon cancer, but it doesmean sommething isn't right.
