More on bone pain
I realize there was a discussion on bone pain a few days ago but can’t find it. My apologies. I have unrelenting, often intolerable bone pain that has ruined my life. I have been chalking it up to vitamin D deficiency. I am vitamin D resistant and treatment is not raising my D level. I do not tolerate

Low B12 and Elevated homocysteine (Hcy) Associated with Brain Atrophy, Cognitive Decline.
I would like to hear the experiences of others with PA regarding lingering cognitive issues and also share some of the links and reports I found during my research on this topic. Just before I was diagnosed with PA I had most all the associated neurological symptoms, lack of balance, could hardly walk

Tell me your experience in treating PD with vitamin b 1
I am Italian. I am a new entry in Parkinson’s disease. I would like to know your experience in treating parkinson's with vitamin b 1. I know Dr. Costantini has passed away. I am looking for a contact from one of your collaborators. Thank you!

Now I'm worried
Morning I have been struggling since Nov 2021 with brain fog, fatigue, dreadful short term memory and awful bone/joint pain in shins/knees to the point I have to take pain killers which I hate. I had my bloods done on 24/2/22 at 9.30am, fasting and last dose 12 hours prior (it may have been a bit longer

Supplement, Iodine advice and more
Hi everyone Just need a little advice please. I am just not feeling right with headaches in morning, fuzzy head, fatigue and tummy upsets. I am trying to get to the bottom of why I am feeling so low. I came off thyroxine pills last May as I could not tolerate the fillers. After some hassle my GP

Confused about seeds!
Can anyone please tell me if seeds are good or bad for under active thyroid? I’m so confused as I have been reading that they are really great for you and then the next article tells me that they are really bad for you? I have a cupboard full of chai, linseed, pumpkin, sunflower seeds etc! Help!

Just Diagnosed type 2, feeling a bit downhearted!
Having been told 3 years ago that I was pre diabetic I made as many changes to my diet and lifestyle (other health conditions and covid permitting) to try and avoid progressing to the "I am diabetic" status but today I have been told I am diabetic, steroid induced. My doctor prescribed gliclazide in

The end of Parkinson's as we know it today. From the Levodopa era to the "transformative" information era.
1. History and Time. As a vocational and professional historian, I have contemplated the world of Parkinson's for many years. The changes over time in the way the disease is viewed, the possible treatments and everything that makes up the world of Parkinson's (multinationals, neurologists, associations

Omicron subvariants: New study gives Evusheld and Sotrovimab the thumbs-up
An in vitro study of several antibody therapies by Japanese researchers found diminished neutralisation of the Omicron variant and particularly of the BA.2 subvariant. Now a study at Washington University indicates that Evusheld and Sotrovimab both retain neutralising activity, while reducing viral load

Little confused by lab results
Hello smart thyroid peeps, I follow a lot of the questions on here. So I requested some tests that you all recommend, but my doc never mentions, (I’m in the US, so I’m not sure if it is common). The didn’t do the ferritin and folate or B vitamins, the wrong code was used. Anyway here are the results.

Supplement timing
Hey just wanted to check in on timing the following supplements and if you would add any others in or increase the amount. I take 150mg of Levothyroxine in the morning an hour before anything but water. I eat a gluten free diet and am careful about cross contamination. Sadly disnt get tested before

Diabetes, weight loss.
Hi guys and gals, I’ve recently started c25k after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I was 16st (100kg) when I started, at the moment I’m 14st 10lb. Today I completed run1 of week 4, I felt awesome when my coach said I’m now running more than walking 😁, the 2nd 5 min run was difficult but so happy

Another disappointing endocrinologist - Cornwall
I know I am unable to discuss individual Doctors here, but thought it might help others to mention what happened at my NHS endo meeting. I saw a female endo via the NHS yesterday, who is based in Truro, Cornwall and off Thyroid UKs list of Endos who (amongst other things) may help with low DHEA (my
