I know you might feel a bit hopeless after the last blog where I explored why we are all so confused about what to eat. The bottom line: we are confused because we hear conflicting scientific reports, our government

Atorvastatin & PMR is there a connection?
Hi, I was diagnosed with PMR in August 2017. Started on 10mg and now down to 5mg for the second time. I also have familial cholesterol which was diagnosed approx. 10 years ago. So I take 40mg of Atorvastatin every night. is there any clinical evidence that there is a link between statins and PMR. Thanks

Can metformin start causing side effects after you have been taking it for a long time?
I have been taking metformin since this past summer but for the past few months, I have been having really bad shortness of breath to the point of it being painful. I also just found out that metformin can cause b12 deficiency as well as shortness of breath. I will be having my b12 levels checked later

Deficiency in coenzyme Q10, can increase Diabetic Risk.
Simple molecule could prevent, alleviate Pre-diabetes risk increased by coenzyme Q10 deficiency. Restoring levels of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ), a key molecule in energy production in cells, could overcome insulin resistance or pre-diabetes -- a precursor to type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Hi, My endocrinologist (who I was seeing for my autoimmune hypothyroidism) who is retiring next month has written to my GP recommending that I go on the National Diabetes Prevention Programme. However, my GP is ignoring the letter. My fasting glucose test was taken at the GP surgery, my GP telephoned

Allopathy and Ayurveda
My mother aged 72 has Type 2 diabetes for 20 years plus. She has multiple disc issues and unable to walk. We tried Ayurveda treatment for her disc. Ayurveda medicines brought down her sugar levels. Is it safe to consume both allopathy and Ayurvedic medicines together ?

Can’t tolerate thyroid medications/hormone treatment
Hi. I’ve been hypothyroid for about 4 years. Over time I’ve developed a reaction to every thyroid medication there is. They give me various neuropathic or nerve side effects around my face and head. I developed the side effects slowly over time, and they’re becoming more and more pronounced to the point
