Haemoglobin 122, red blood cell width 18.9%,

MCV 77.6,

MCH24.4,

MCHC 314g/l

Ferritin 18ug/l

Folate 9.9

Vit D 106

B12- 1600(supplementing)

Transferrin saturation,7.91

Iron 6.1

Can anyone tell me what these results mean please? Anemia? How do I get b12 level lower, I have anxiety and insomnia. Is this high b12 dangerous to me. How do I get other b vitamins in range? Most supplements have b13 in them.

Thanks

Scientist, not medic.

This looks [to me] like you're bordering on Iron Deficiency. The high B12 is not involved in this. Your Hb is normal [I am assuming you're female]. The lab's reference ranges are helpful too, as commenting on values without them is risky. My 50p goes on Iron Deficiency.

Don't do anything without consulting your doctor as Iron is toxic in excess. Be careful!

Hi,

B12- 1600(supplementing)

Just curious, you mentioned High Active B12 in the heading but from the numbers it looks more like a serum (total ) B12 result.
