Blood test results regarding magnesium - thank you everyone for advice
I posted previously about my mum’s anxiety and how she has been struggling with it for months now. After a lot of advice from this group, I requested that the GP checks her magnesium and thyroid so thank you to everyone who advised me to get this checked . Her results have shown that thyroid is fine.

Need advice on getting diagnosis
Hello, I am looking for advice for my sister. In October of 2023 she fell down the stairs and injured her tailbone. She did not go to A and E, which in hindsight was a mistake. At first she was experiencing severe pain in her tailbone/coccyx and could not sit down for very long. After several weeks

Update after Endo
Good morning, I'm just writing this as an update to anyone who may be interested in my seemingly-odd case... My Endo appointment went well. (Or so I thought but if you're learning from this post, please read the comments!) She believes I have Graves disease, despite the antibodies indicating Hashimotos

I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in 2019. I’ve had regular bi annual scans and a liver biopsy, which have confirmed that the scarring in the liver is no better nor any worse. However I’ve not been feeling too good for the past few months and my GP kept fobbing me off with blood tests (even though

What next? Thyroid?
I am looking for some advice before I go back to the GP next week, and I feel 'safe' asking it here. First some background might help: I live in Australia- GPs and their nursing staff here are no better educated than elsewhere the world, but fortunately we can buy hydroxycobalamin over the counter

T3 and endo advice needed / East Sussex
Hi, am really struggling to get T3 medication. I asked for an NHS referral to Sunil Z but got declined due to being out of area. I live in Brighton and he's Surrey and Sussex NHS. Can they just decline like this? I don't have limitless funds to do endless private blood tests and consultations. The cost

FET natural cycle and progesterone
Hi there, I am preparing for a natural cycle FET in France (my 6th, you’d think I’d be used to it 😅) I went for an ultrasound on Monday followed by a blood test… when I received the results (they are sent directly to the patient in France) I noticed that my progesterone was higher than it has been

So I live in uk and for a year now my daughter age 14 has had various symptoms which come and go in severity but impact her life when bad. She is under paediatricians who were unconcerned about her low TSH and after discussion with paed with interest in endocrinology they wrote to gp and said no further

Full blood test or fingerprick test?
Hi. I've decided to get a private test done from Blue Horizon to get some more information on my underactive thyroid. I'm unsure whether to go to Superdrug to have my bloods taken for me - or simply order the fingerprick test. Do you think that the fingerprick test is accurate enough, please?

Following my previous post in which I reported my results from 20/02/24, I did a fasting home test from "monitor my health" on 18/03/24 to try to get a more accurate picture. These are the results: 18/03/24: TSH: 4.47 (0.27-4.2) (20/02/24: 5.37) FT4: 15 (12-22) (20/02/24: 13.8) FT3: 4.1
