I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your most informative and positive replies and support for my husband and his severe cramp. I have purchased some of the things recommended but feel that the best way forward now is blood tests and take it from there. Getting him to take anything is hard in itself but I think the key, more than anything else, is to have blood tests to determine what he is deficient in (I wanted to make a further comment on that but best not hehehe). Again, my grateful thanks, its always good to share views and concerns, makes life easier somehow. Sending my best wishes to you all.

Wish no one felt "better not" mention nutritional deficiencies. They're as much part of our health as meds --- maybe more so and are often overlooked. I didn't see first post about cramps but I have dealt with them off and on (for me, often need for calcium) -- really fun to get a full blown charleyhorse while cramped in an airplane seat.
