I have not been feeling too great and have had my thyroid checked, t4 and t3 are now all normal and back to my 175 a day. Still not been well really bad tummy aches, back ache, really struggling with aches in my muscles etc. Had more blood tests lately, they said to check bones. Doctor rang yesterday to say my parathyroid levels were high and she is referring me to an endo. I also take a high dosage of furizamide which i have now read up about and that i believe can add to my woes.

Hi Lyn,
Sorry no one has replied to your post.
Another member posted about parathyroid hormone levels a day before your post. Here's a link to that post; there's some useful links within it that you might want to check out.
I was completly ignorant of parathyroid testing, having had my first one in 17 years of being hypo. Have a look at my post yesterday about this, and the excellent replies explaining how parathyroid and calcium are linked. Hope this helps. Also test your Vit B12 as this makes muscles ache. Hope you get it sorted soon.
I had a full blood test for my thyroid t3 and t4. Two weeks later was called in for another blood test and when I asked why, she said for my bones. Only when that came back she rung me and told me about the parathyroid problem as I had way over the limit of calcium. She has now sent an emergency request to see the endo which I hope will happen sooner than later. I have read a lot about it but I have to say 10 out of 10 to my surgery for going the extra mile and keeping on top of it.
