How often tests needed?
I am reasonably o.k. managing my pain flares with going to eating even less than normally whenever I seem to “react”. I live about 2000 miles north of my Pancreas Doctor who is treating me. My question is : how often is it recommended to do blood test to see how well I am absorbing the supplements and

Have you had chemo via cannula?
Hello Ladies, After a summer of multiple surgeries and the diagnosis of rare aggressive mucinous ovarian cancer, I had the good news that the cancer hasn’t spread to my lymph nodes which makes it 1C. While my oncologist explained that it’s difficult to quantify the benefits of adjuvant chemo due to

Vitamin Deficiciencies and lack of GP support
We have been pushing mum’s GP to read up on the Mayo Algorithm to try and get to a workable solution… We have stalled on the first hurdle unfortunately…. We requested that a full blood test be taken to determine any deficiencies in vitamins B1,B3,B6,B12,D3,K2,Potassium, Copper and Magnesium.

Coming off Sertraline
Hello, so I have been taking Sertraline for a year, and seemed to have done well on it. Made plenty of changes including starting the healthwise GP exercise referral scheme, improving diet and rest and reducing work hours/staring that degree course I had been thinking about. Have still been having there

I saw my lovely GP today, I have been left to just get on with my taper since flaring in April. Now going down to 4.5 from 5. I thought I’d check in. GP was lovely, said oh yes there are many tapering plans…let’s see…..I think you should stay on 4 for 2 months…’you know you should go really slowly below

Hand rash/chicken pox
Doctors are so annoying and not helpful. I have taken 2 weeks off work now. I had burning red spots on my hand then started getting patchy rashes on hands then spots over my body and face -, chciken pox. Docs said hands are different to face ( my renal consultant). Done lots of blood tests and all they

positive occult blood test but no parasites ?
I'm a mid-sixties female with R.A. Constipated until a year ago. Oftentimes in the last year (but not always) my poop looked well-formed but had something that looked like a string coming out the end, up to an inch long. My bowel habits changed a lot a few months ago/much less constipated. A couple

advice again sorry
ok so I’ve had my blood tests back today and after thinking that they would definitely be upped from the 50 start dose they said that I was normal but I’m still suffering from a tingling finger on my right hand and joint pain, I’m tired than ever and I’m fatter than ever. Could they have got it wrong

Fading away
Hi I'm going to jump straight into this. I collapsed and the hospital diagnosed b12 disorder from the p anemia and gave me loading doses, followed by a year of 12 weekly injections. Then they say I was cured and stopped giving me them which brought back all my symptoms. I then got NAFLD (non alcoholic

What blood test company are people using
Good morning, I have been in contact with Blue Horizon today who have advised me that the 30% code advertised on THUK is no longer valid and is now only 10%. So I am wondering who people are using this days that may offer better value. Thanks

Newbie
I started having neck stiffness which then went to shoulders and then stiffness all over. Im 61, but used to be very flexible. I went to docs who did blood tests and they came back all normal, apart from infection markers which were higher than normal. I suggested either RA or PMR. Doctor has not specified

Getting blood test for nutrients not found in common blood test
I have a few questions for the group. First my background information: I am in the USA. My diet/eating habits probably won’t change. My eating habits are only ok. My blood is drawn all the time: cbc, wbc, etc and every 6 months my complete thyroid panel is drawn. I have hashimotos, CLL and they are well
