Sleeping with ectopics
I have been getting ectopic beats for the last three weeks. At times it can be as many as 1 every 30 normal beats, at other times I don’t get one for hours. No idea what the triggers are. Already on BP meds, including Bisoprolol. Went to see GP last week, she sent me off to ED where an ECG, blood tests

'Routine' appointment to discuss thyroid results?
I had some blood tests about 10 days ago, one of which was thyroid function. I've had the same in the past and usually no follow up call. Today I've had a call from the GP to book a 'routine' appointment to discuss the results. Is this something they start doing after a certain age? Or could it mean

anyone else in the 2ww?
I had a FET today. My OTD is on 25 Jan and I’ll have a blood test. I’m usually a serial tester but I’m considering waiting this time to at least 7DP. Last time I went nuts and it wasn’t helpful. I’m doing a completely natural transfer - no trigger, no progesterone support. I’ve asked for a blood

HELP WITH SIDE EFFECTS FROM ENZALUTAMIDE
In 2019 after a prolonged bout of diarrhea a blood test was ordered, the cause of the diarrhea was not discovered but the test indicated bone cancer. From there tests showed extensive bone mets and grade 9 Gleason APC. Chemotherapy radiation and firmagon followed. My psa went way down for about 18 months

Blood tests 'normal' but PMR symptoms
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PMR in Jan 2022. I started with 25mg of pred, which worked within a day and tapered down gradually. It took a while to get down from 10mg and i had a few ups and downs with dosage. I was on 2mg for a while and the GP i saw for meds review (a new GP) was pushing me to come

RBC Magnesium test (not Serum)
I am trying to find a home blood test for RBC Magnesium (as the serum test is inaccurate due to most of the magnesium being in your muscles and bones). I have read that too little magnesium may be connected to Afib. Does anyone know of a company in the UK that does this RBC Magnesium test? All the usual

I was diagnosed in 2008 and on Watch and wait. Recently my WBC has gone up more than usual after my annual blood tests and I am itching all over during the night. It’s not bed bugs🤨. Is this a significant symptom?

PSA testing - time taken to separate serum
Dear AllJust wondering if there are members who can advise on if there are defined standards on how long can PSA blood samples remain within whole blood samples before they reach the end of their shelf life? I will explain that the NHS in UK have set a standard of a max time of 16 hours between the sample

Update on severe skin lesions
Hi everyone. Just wanted to give an update with regard to the severe skin rash/lesions I experienced in November My GP diagnosed it as urticarial vasculitis but my rheumatologist thought it might be an adverse drug reaction (belated) to actemra. She stopped the infusions and had me on an increased dose

Worried
I had half my thyroid out end of September last year as it was enlarged. I was assured all along (nearly 3 years) by ENT consultant that it was 'nothing nasty' but he decided during summer 2023 it needed to be removed when it was pushing my windpipe right across to the side of my throat. Results came

He hasn’t had a drink since and has lost 4 stone in weight due to healthy diet and excercise and generally feels so much better. He has no varicose or ascites and it was only picked up through

My awful day and unexpected update from G.P
Following on from my previous post where I received so much advice and support which was so appreciated, thank you. Unfortunately, today didn't go so well. Firstly my GP was not in the practice and I was passed on to a locum (Who i have seen before). I was assertive and requested he support my decision

How is an immune test is done? Only blood tests or is it done by collecting sample tissues for biopsy? Did you have any benefit of having immune test? Do you have any clinic that you can recommend me?
