I am reasonably o.k. managing my pain flares with going to eating even less than normally whenever I seem to “react”. I live about 2000 miles north of my Pancreas Doctor who is treating me. My question is : how often is it recommended to do blood test to see how well I am absorbing the supplements and nutrients fro a “pancreas-tweaked healthy diet? I am sometimes so weak from doing “almost nothing strenuous” and often unmotivated. Is this “normal”? I do not sleep well. Pain, and nausea are my main symptoms night. Lying in my left sided definitely hurts more.
I will appreciate any comments or tips.
P.S. So far my chronic pancreatitis as no “known cause”.

Have you considered genetic testing? That may help better understand the cause of your pancreatitis. Here's more information about genetics and pancreatitis: mission-cure.org/genetics-a...
How frequent testing is is usually dependent on the recommendation of your provider and the results of your test. If you're deficient in a specific area, they should recommend strategies to correct it and more frequent testing to see if your deficiency is improving.
With your symptoms, it would be best if you can set up an appointment with your doctor and set up a game plan for monitoring your health. They can better determine how often you should be screened. As your doctor is far away, it may be more convenient to see if they can recommend screening closer to you and have those results shared with your doctor.
