I’ve just got my thyroid results back from a blood test I had yesterday, I have a lump near my scar from when I had a thyriodactomy about 36yrs ago. When I had the blood test I had my 150mg of levothyroxine. The test has come back normal. Results attached

Steroid reduction
Two weeks ago I was told reduce your dosage from 4 to3 which I have done. Blood test last week and was told normal . Don't know what normal is as the past few days had pain in shoulders hips and lower back. I also have osteoarthritis in most joints so wondering if it's that that is causing all the pain

Help regarding test being taken
So I've paid to have the private medical check blood test for advanced thyroid. I've been twice now to get my bloods done at superdrug. 10 pricks later still no blood . We I've paid extra to get the nurse to come to the house. The only issue is test is a Thursday at 7.45. The post for it is 24hrs but

calcium supplements before zoledronic acid infusion
does everyone take calcium supplement before the infusion, I am due my second infusion tomorrow, I have had a blood test and they said calcium levels ok,they said ok after my first infusion but ended up peeing blood, a blood test doesn't show how much calcium in your bones, and with zoledronic acid infusions

Blood test results
Hi, three weeks ago I had a Fibroscan in a mobile community testing van, the result was a reading of 15.1. The nurse suggested cirrhosis of the liver and said a referral for a CT scan was appropriate. I hadn't heard anything for two weeks, as you can imagine, I was beside myself with worry, I phoned

dronedarone
i’ve been on amiodarone very successfully since a successful cardioversion last August but recently blood test showed effect on my thyroid so I’ve been switched to dronedarone which I haven’t started taking as yet. Apart from one episode this is the longest time for 12 years that I’ve been without AF

I’m 73 and been feeling extra tired recently, otherwise fit and well. I thought the tiredness might be caused by Keppra a drug I take for epilepsy, I’m also on statins … but anyway the GP did a blood test, the Serum Alanine transaminase was ‘out of range’ at 54 u/l. I’ve always been a drinker but stick

Hashis question
After nearly 13yrs of being hypo I did an at home test to check antibodies, but I've not got much of an idea if the high antibodies are really high or just a 'normal' level for having Hashis? I've never had a goitre, was told I had a few nodules on the RHS of my thyroid when I was first diagnosed.

Sharp rise in platelets
Hi everyone. I’m getting a bit anxious and would appreciate any advice please. Three weeks ago my platelets were 569 having come down gradually over the last year from 800+ on a dose of 1000/1500 mg HU on alternate days. Since then I have had a bout of food poisoning and a chest/throat infection

Yet another mess...
I am coming to the end of my B12 pills and being on the lower pension and every penny counts, wondered if I needed to reorder. So I phoned the surgery to request a blood test, and was told the GP would phone me back. So far, so good. A GP phoned, introduced herself as the new GP at the surgery. I

advice with latest results
Hi all , been gaining some great knowledge from this site over the past few years but now feel I’d like some advice on my latest blood results please. I’ll try to be as brief as possible with my story: I stared noticing what I now know to be hypo symptoms about 5 years ago but after a trip to the doctors

Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Sensitive post: BFP after 7th transfer but Prednisolone immediately stopped
Hi, yesterday I had the news I have been waiting for, finally a BFP after my 7th transfer (my first BFP in almost 3 years which ended in miscarriage). Whilst I am over the moon, I am also filled with fear. I have no more BETA tests booked in so next step is viability scan in 3 weeks. This morning I

A specific autoantibody signature was seen in a subset of people with multiple sclerosis (MS) long before clinical symptoms appeared, blood samples showed.
