Hi all, I've been feeling unwell for months now. I've had blood tests, scans, and have been told I have an FNH that's about 5.7cm. I've been told this has nothing to do with my symptoms, but it's in the left lobe, and I swear I can feel it when I move around. Physical activity makes the pain worse,

I want to understand what happened to me.
I stopped taking levothyroxine for a month because I wasn’t feeling any improvement at all. Then, I went back on it with a high dose of 100 mcg and felt a quick improvement. I had a lot of energy, and the brain fog disappeared. But, this improvement only lasted for 24 hours. I then increased the dose

Confused about PMR, arthritis and effects of pred.
I'll try to keep this brief but may have to add more details later. We had to cancel our holiday on the day of departure (5th July) due to a sudden severe pain in my left hip, only on movement. I could hardly walk and hubby had to help me down the stairs. I am on half mg of pred and recently was discharged

b12 advice
Hey, So for ten years or so now I’ve suffered with a “on and off” B12/folate deficiency. I had loading doses and then injections in 2017 and my levels were at the lowest of 198, folate was really low aswell then but then they checked my levels a few months later (1803) and obviously they would be high

Hello, I know no one can help and I just have to wait and hope for the best but I just need to get this out. I’m 6 weeks 1 day pregnant and I’m Saturday night last night and this morning I had brown discharge in my crinone applicator. I know this can be normal but I also had cramping yesterday afternoon

helvela Re don’t stop thyroxine b4 blood tests
Taking the thyroxine on the morning of the test, would only confuse the inexperienced. It will change your T4 levels slightly, and not influence your TSH. It won't impact my interpretation of your results. It is not worth worrying about. The vast majority of doctors are experienced enough to understand

normal gamma-gt and cirrhosis?
hello, I went to the GP today to discuss concerns about drinking. I’ve cut down significantly but am concerned about having already done irreversible damage. Historically my results have always been normal (last blood test in March). She said that if gamma-gt is normal, cirrhosis is unlikely, but did

My daughter's blood tests, could someone take a look please .
My daughter is 12. She doesn't have any diagnosed thyroid problems but our GP has run various blood tests due to regular nosebleeds and occasional migraines with aura. I persuaded them to check her thyroid and iron panel aswell. I've pushed for this with our family history of autoimmune thyroid problems

could Helvella or any other knowledgeable person please help me explain why TSH is o.k to be low when being treated please.
please help me with this wretched problem we have with doctors and medical specialists regarding low TSH. I am having some help from a medical herbalist who, on seeing my thyroid blood test results, has got quite stroppy and insisting my TSH should be higher , and I should lower my thyroid medication

Ready to trigger but blood markers a concern
Edit just in case anyone has the same and comes across this post:
In the afternoon the nurse called to say my blood markers are looking a lot better. Oestradiol now at over 4000 (up from 2000) and LH looking better. This is the second time I've found myself spiralling over something that then
