Blood clots

To my understanding blood clots from flying are a "risk factor" but I was under the impression it was pretty manageable. Drink lots of water, make sure to move/stretch legs, compression socks for long trips. I've had two trips to Houston, TX since the end of June.

Just ended up in hospital with multiple blood clots in lungs. No apparent cause (don't smoke, not overweight and exercise regularly. (I'm 75 yo female). Just wondering if the inflammation caused by PMR could trigger blood clots.

After 2 months of TURP Small blood clots in urine are coming during morning time. What could be the reason?

I’m just wondering how many with MBC have been put on blood thinners as seems cancer abs blood clots go hand in hand? Wondering why I was not put on blood thinners before I flew? No problem before then. Thanks for listening to my long letter. Hugs!

NHS (under blood clots) says that rheumatoid arthritis puts you at an increased risk of developing blood clots. It seems that the lining of veins get inflamed & this can lead to clots forming.

since September 19, my husband has been in the ER or admitted 8 times from cystitis: can’t urinate, lots of blood clots necessitating catheterizations. He has had 3 cystoscopes, a blood transfusion, developed lung clots and had to be taken off Eliquis because it counteracted the cystitis problem.

I was just advised by my vascular surgery team that CLL greatly increases your risk of blood clots hence the need for a surgical intervention. I am just in the process of researching this further and was wondering if this community could shed further light on this for me. thanks

hi all I’m 14 weeks post op triple heart by pass admitted to a/e diagnosed with blood clots and fluid in both lungs twelve weeks in tablets no change 6 weeks if a daily injection no change injections now been upped to two daily still no change (breathlessness) anyone else had or having this issue

If MPV is in range, does that mean platelets are (edit) not (edit) too big or sticky, thus lowering risk of blood clots? Is this a correct way to think about this?

I was in hospital for 3 days after I started passing blood clots in my urine 4 days after egg collection. I’m not sure how to tackle this with my clinic. My transfer had to be cancelled and all embryos frozen. I know we’re given the risks before collection but what now?

It's not lots but there also been what looks like blood clots, although nothing like what I get on my period. I did have some bleeding earlier in my zolodex journey but the nurse checked with the gp and they said it was nothing to be concerned about.
