Blood clots

Hi just wondering if anyone else is going or gone through this, this is my second time of having blood clots on my lungs since having bilateral pleural and pericardial effusion’s so back on blood thinners and awaiting CT scan. I actually thought it was a total collapsed lung as mine is partial, the pain in my left shoulder is horrendous.

Take care

Yes and unprovoked so lifelong Riveroxaban. I agree it hurts but do try to walk a bit each day it'll help you get better faster. I was in hospital though for a few days so why have you been allowed out? I walked miles from my bed to the desk and front door to get out quicker.

I only live 15 minutes away , I’ve had a call CT SCAN is early tomorrow morning. It’s safer for me at home than risk infections in hospital.

Thanks

It took well over a year for me to get over the bilateral pulmonary embolism, as Medway lady says keep the walking up.I was only in hospital for a day /night and I'm now on rivaroxaban for life

I have had two PEs and I am on Apixaban for life. The first one was incredibly painful and I was so breathless. The second one was smaller and was just very breathless. Since being on apixaban for life. No recent problems with clots. Just have ongoing breathlessness due to damage in lungs.

That’s what I am on currently but I have shoulder pain and breathless but more breathless than normal, although it could just be the inflammation is greater. I’ll find out soon, if it’s clots or I need to increase steroids again.

Take care
