Dipyridamole update.
I recently had to stop taking Dipyridamole prior to surgery. Day one wasn’t an issue, I slept great. Day two was a huge reminder of how bad RLas can be. Day three I am just vibrating. Now it could be the stress from the surgery but my RLS is through the roof and it is only 8:30 am. I can sleep

PSA 0,7
my husband had 5 years ago his prostate removed. Now he shows a PSA of 0,7, this has developed over the years, his Gleason is 7. His doctor advised radiation at this point, he had a pet scan done, it showed a rezidiv, but could not be determined if it is malignant. He is 79 years old, we are in Germany

Worried about gallstones
Hi there. I am very worried about my mum who is 80 and has gallstones. About a year and a half ago, she became very ill with cholecystitis and a blocked bile duct. She was admitted to hospital and was treated for what I suspect was biliary sepsis and the blocked bile duct was cleared by ECPR. The surgeon

Kenu foot surgery
I think everyone should know that our friend Kenu had quite major foot surgery last week. Let’s keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Many of us know how painful it is to have that surgery. Love to all, Kelly

Chemo for Lupus
Hi all, After an escalation in neurological Lupus symptoms and despite already having biological therapy and steroid infusions, I’m now going to be having chemotherapy. I’m a bit nervous to say the least. I’ve been told it’ll be over 6 weeks. Anyone else had this? What , if any, were the side effects

Normal uptake areas in PSMA Gallium scan
My husband got the results, online, of a PSMA scan he had last week. We talk to his doctor tomorrow. The person who read it said the prostate was surgically removed, when it was actually radiated, so we don’t have total faith in this report. In the opening of the findings it says: “Physiologic radiotracer

Post Provenge, what should I do now
I was diagnosed of PC in 2020, I had surgery to remove it in September 2020 but psa did not go down to zero. By February 2021 psa was 3.4 so I began lupron shots and I am still receiving it every 6 months. I also completed 36 rounds of radiation 2021. My psa began going up from .05 in February 2022 to

Inflatable Penile Implants
I think this topic is appropriate for this group so I will introduce it today since I can't find a prior discussion on the site. Sexuality is very important to me, an 18 year prostate cancer survivor at age 68. It is also important to my partner. My research indicates high satisfaction for each partner

Post op catheter and bowel movement
I had laparoscopy 5 days ago for excision of endometriosis from the pouch of Douglas and right uterosacral ligament. Unfortunately I was in a lot of pain post op and struggled to get out of the bed alone and ended up with 2L urine retention and went home (after a failed attempt without a catheter) 3

Oxybutynin bed wetting
Hi, my 5year old son started oxytrol patches for an overactive bladder 5 weeks ago. Things aren't perfect but have definitely improved. But the biggest change has been in the last 7 days 5 of them he has woken up with an almost dry nappy. I've been weighing them as its so hard to tell today there was

Panic over endo surgery
Hi there,I've been waiting for laparoscopic surgery and a cystectomy for some time to treat what has been classified as severe endo. I got a call to say they are booking me in and now I am really panicked. I have never had any kind of surgery before and, because of where the endo is, I'll also need

How do I know?
My PC metastasized to bones. It's been over a year since any scans. T is below 1.8 and PSA = 0.05, but how can I be sure if cancer is in remission?

Duration of ADT
I need to make a decision about the duration of ADT. I had a prostatectomy in 2017. The pathology was great - everything suggested the disease was confined to the prostate. My PSA never went to zero. It has increased very slowly since then. I refused to have radiation until we has something to shoot

Socioeconomic influence on treatment with liothyronine and desiccated thyroid extract in Denmark
An interesting paper in that it looks at thyroid treatment from a very different point of view. Although based in Denmark, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the same general direction if repeated in many other countries. [i]
