black out
Hi. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this. My mum who has CBS finds that when she laughs now she blacks out and feels faint. She is finding that this is happening more and more so is worrying. It’s very hard when we try and keep things upbeat but she’s scared of laughter. Any advice please

New job, Anxiety Attack
Hello all. I’ve been struggling with the decision to pursue a job requiring me to move over 2000 miles away from Florida to Arizona. Ever since interviewing for the job I’ve been preparing for the move by applying for rental housing and other preparations in case I got the offer. Yesterday I received

silicolgel
Has anyone used silicolgel for IBS? I’ve seen adverts and wonder if it’s worth giving it a try. I have stomach pains, flatulance, urgency to go problems. I know some of it is caused by food and a lot of it is anxiety related.

Hi all, I have been here before but it was quite a while ago. (10 months) Over the last two years, I have been in pain on my upper right quadrant, had lots of scans, tests which included an unpleasant ERCP being done as one thought was that the sphincter of oddi could have been the culprit. For a

Depo and panic attacks?
So, I've had my first depo provera shot last week, and today, I think I've had 3 panic attacks, all seemingly out of the blue. As far as I can remember, I haven't had one before. I do have very mild anxiety but nothing I take medication for. Are panic attacks associated with depo? Have any of you experienced

Vitamin D and Anemia: Insights into an Emerging Association
Found an interesting study. The conclusion sold it for me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4659411/ CONCLUSION Vitamin D is associated with anemia in various study populations and recent evidence suggests that the association may differ by race and is likely specific to anemia of inflammation

road to diagnosis
Hi everyone, I don’t know where to start… it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far. It all started when I started getting redness and discolouration in both feet. My GP did a blood test and referred me to my rheumatologist for further assessment. My rheumatologist felt that my feet getting red was

Advice on iron status
Hi lovely people, I was hoping to get some advice on my iron status. A bit of background, I have just recently increased levo to 88mcg a couple of weeks ago, and was on 75mcg before that. So, I am aware that my thyroid hormone is still too low. It's a slow process getting docs to increase! My question

Thyroid symptoms or Parkinsons, an update to my previous post
A huge thank you to all the people who gave me such good advice! My FT3 is slightly up and my FT4 is slighty down, result! Going in the right direction. My Vitamin D is improving, I will continue to use BetterYou sublingual sprays (D3+K2) for this, and magnesium. My Vitamin B12 hasn't moved much,

Panic Attacks and Obsessive thoughts
hello everyone! So glad to be joining this group. I had health with panic disorder, anxiety, and Tourette’s for some time now, but have noticed a big turn in how I can manage. Last year I began planning a trip to Australia so my partner and I could go and meet his family. That trip ended a month ago

Newly Diagnosed PSC
Hi all I have IBD - diagnosed in 2020 and have mainly been in control of it since. I've now been diagnosed with PSC - had a liver biopsy, MRI, ultrasound and numerous blood tests to diagnose this. I'm going for a colonoscopy after Christmas to check my IBD is okay but I just wanted to reach out to anyone

Vitamin C and B12
Despite weekly injections of b12 my blood results show that I am only mid range and I am still symptomatic. I take codeine for arthritic pain and with this I take about 4000 mg of vitamin C to alleviate constipation. Is the vit C helping rid my body of B12 and if so can I just increase my injections

I successfully take 0.4 mg day buprenorphine to treat RLS but the nausea side effect is very troublesome and there does not seem to be a satisfactory plan to get the better of it. Lepto meningeal involvement. No further treatment. Palliative radiation?
Spouse 10 weeks post Pluvicto and about to embark on a Hail Mary trial of androgen receptor degrader. But yesterday's brain MRI showed spread to dura and leptomeninges. So my lovely light and love of my life is coming to the end of the road we have walked, too briefly, together. Oncologist has already
