I’m really struggling. I drank an energy drink Friday and had a panic attack. Well, ever since then I’ve been hyper focused on my heart rate. I can’t shake it so of course my heart has been racing and I just feel like I’m about to have a heart attack. I don’t even know what to do. I feel so defeated.

Welcome to the group.

Those energy drinks are very unhealthy. Try and remind yourself that this is out of your system. This is also something you have control over, you don't ever have to drink another

Repeat this to yourself and hopefully mind and body within accept that you will be ok.

I learned through therapy that I had to look at wheee I was now and talk to myself about my safety.

If your heart rate is uncontrolled still you may want to see a Dr for a check.

I had an EKG in October and it was normal. I have emailed her though to tell her how I was feeling. I have no idea. I just don’t want to feel this way anymore

That's a great step to take. Reaching out to the medical team was a wise move

anxiety will make you feel as if your going to have heart attack and that your pulse is high. I’ve got heart rate monitor in my watch, I swear my heart is racing. 70 bpm. Not at all. blood pressure during what I thought was a heart attack, dead on 110/75

anxiety is a liar. your flooded with adrenaline. now is a good time to learn deep breathing and meditation skills while you are awaiting any type of pharmaceutical options

you’re in control, learning to ground yourself and distract is essential. guided body scans and meditation on you tube are helpful. occupy your mind with good alternatives.
