Bisoprolol beats me at last
Just done the road trip to Surrey to see family and the Big B has messed me over. Felt very tired on Sunday leaving home. HR slopped around all over the place bottoming out at 41 bpm. Been sleeping for England while away rang for a GP appointment on my return home -no luck! ( big surprise there

Flecainide and side effects
Hi I’m very happy on Flecainide as it’s eliminated my ectopics. I take it with Bisoprolol. However I seem to be getting excessive sweating especially on fairly mild exercise. Think it’s listed as a possible but unusual side effect. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anything help or just live with

flecainide
hi all, spent 9.50 hours in A&E last night as flecainide didn’t work as a PIP, had to have a drip and a Bisoprolol that I normally have at bedtime! Has this happened to any one else! Feel absolutely shattered now?

I saw the recent post about coming off Bisoprolol and Isosorbide. I’m on 10mg of Bisoprolol and 100mg of Isosorbide, the isosorbide was increased from 40mg daily to 100mg about 2 months ago. I felt fine at first, but in the last 2 weeks have found it harder to walk very far, and never up slight inclines

Strange smell
Since I started on the drugs below, I seem to have a strange smell constantly in my nostrils. My wife says she can't smell anything. This strange chemical type smell is apparent in my pee too ( at least to me!) I'm due to see my HF nurse on Friday, but has anyone ever experienced this? I was diagnosed

Stopping Bisoprolol
I’ve just had an angiogram and my extreme breathlessness after walking up stairs, even slight inclines, is not due to angina or even microvascular angina as that was checked too! My heart is fine which is great news but frustrating as after a year of symptoms I still don’t know what the problem is!

SVT new diagnosis.
Hi I'm a new member I had a funny turn in March where I ended up in A&e with heart rate of 250. I was diagnosed with SVT. Had another episode this week. Heart rate got to 260. When they tried to bring it down it just kept flipping back to tachycardia. After several hours and a cardiologist with me

LV ejection fraction 55% - borderline abnormal?
Hi again, Had my MRI results. Everything was fine but my LV EF was estimated to be 55%. Given my left bundle branch block, sinus tachycardia, and ongoing symptoms, I’m just looking for others’ thoughts and experiences. From what Dr Google tells me (I know, I know but when they throw random numbers

6 Month Check Up
Hi All, Had my 6month check up after been diagnosed with PAF in November last year. On Flecainide 100mg twice a day and small does of 1.25mg bisoprolol daily which initially kept short lived (1--2hr) episodes at bay for 2-3 weeks at a time. However have not had any episodes for 2 months and cardiologist

Sudden drop in EF
Hello everyone, I recently posted about my husbands severe anaemia and had some really helpful feedback on what to do about it. Shortly after that post I noticed crackling in my husbands lungs and convinced him to get to A&E as he was breathless at rest. They’ve done an ultrasound on his heart and

Heart medication withdrawals
Hello everyone, i was in hospital for five nights recently with pre syncopal episodes and palpitations. My heart rate was quite low, especially at night. Racing heartbeat
I have atrial fibrillation, long term persistent I think it`s called because I have had treatment but I am told I have to live with it now. Just wondering about heart beat. I do take bisoprolol, my usual resting heart rate is about 85 but sometimes for no apparent reason jumps over 100. Certainly

Reducing Bisoprolol when in normal sinus rhythm
Was just wondering whether anyone reduces their bisoprolol dose when returning to normal sinus rhythm ?I’m aware that we can’t advise on doses and that we are all individual cases, I was just curious. I had a successful cardioversion a month ago but am still on 5mg bisoprolol ( raised from 2.5 when I

Bisoprolol
Hi everyone. I have been on Bisoprolol for 5 years now, but the dose was increased to 10 mgs earlier this year. I know many of you are on a a lower dose of Bisoprolol, but I wonder if any of you have heard that it can cause cramp ? I have just read that it can take a couple of years for the cramp to
