Hi to you all. I have had a couple of trips to A&E end of June 2022 and beginning of July 2022 as an ECG at my GP surgery showed narrow complex regular tachycardia. I was seen by a Cardiologist who said I had Paroxysmal Atrial Flutter. I had bloods taken which were unremarkable" . I was prescribed

CRTD and pacing
hi everyone, I had a CRTD pacemaker with defib inserted about 18 days ago as I had a cardiac arrest in hospital after being given a loading dose of digoxin whilst on Dronederone, following a cardioversion that initially worked but then put me into afib with high heart rate. I’ve heart failure now with

Anticoagulants and PPIs
Hi everyone, I have just had an annual medication review over the phone with a pharmacist. I am taking Apixaban 5mg twice daily together with low dose Flecainide (50mg x 2 daily) and Bisoprolol (2.5mg daily). The latter to offset any possible side effects from Flecainide!! I have been in sinus rhythm

Bisoprolol and Codiene
I have just been to the dentist and she has prescribed Amoxicillin and Co-Codamol. I take Warfarin and Bisoprolol for my Afib and wondered if any of you knew about any unsavoury interactions. I know the antibiotic affects the Warfarin and I will need an INR check in three days, but it’s the Bisoprolol

Flecainide and Bisoprosol
(a few asked to keep updated - I've been really poorly lately) Follow up Appointment from recent 24 hrs ECG results - had a 72hour ECG, pretty clear other than 1st Degree AV Block, a single Ventricular premature Complex and Rare atrial Premature Complexes. Cardi explained that due to pregnancy

Think I'm just starting out... Heart Inflammation/Myocarditis
Hi all, I've replied to a couple of posts so far but not actually written one myself. I'm not usually one for writing spiels but I'm wondering if it might be cathartic for me, and maybe someone can offer more insight, or get some from this. This seems to be a lovely, supporting space from what I've

More Afib questions
As we know, Afib questionsjust go on and on, so thank goodness for this forum where we can share so many questions and answers 🤗 Following my last post about the possibility of progression of Afib, I have managed to see an EP. It all happened very quickly as I was given a next day cancellation at

Angry following letter to GP from a consultant.
I received the following letter from a consultant-addressed to my GP- following my aborted angiogram of last week. It’s fair to say that since I read it this morning I have had steam coming out of my ears, not to mention chest pains. I would value any feedback and advice how to proceed: “Mr [..] has

heart disease and anxiety, why no anxiety at all until about 9 months after the heart event?
I’m sitting here working out the best way to explain this. Well—— waffle warning!!! After my HA 12 months ago I was positive, looking at my life and felt like eventhough physically I’d had these limitations put upon me mentally I was dealing with it well. but as I’ve said on here recently it’s been

The problem is I've read on the nhs web site that these should not be prescribed to people with liver disease. The side effects can
