How long should I wait?
68, male, no underlying conditions, relatively fit, not overweight. Afib diagnosed 2019. 2 cardioversions in 2020, 3 months apart. No problems since until recently. Irregular heartbeat returned 2 days ago, after overworking on a diy project then stupidly rewarding myself with alcohol. On Apixiban

Convergent ablation procedure
hello all, I have had persistent AF for about a year after a few years of PAF (initially diagnosed as panic attacks). I was on BISOPROLOL 3.25 and Apixaban 2x day. I had a successful CV in February this year and have reduced my BISO to .625. I do not tolerate the drugs well including the anticoagulant

What to take for acid reflux
Hi all. I often get acid reflux (the valve on top of my stomach doesn't seal properly). I am currently on 100 mg daily Flecainide and 2.5 bisoprolol. Had an ablation for Paroxysmal AF last September. Here in New Zealand we have available at supermarket treatments like Gaviscon, Enos, Mylanta, Quickeez

Feeling grim after hospital stay for AF episode - advice please!
Had particularly tenacious episode of AF which failed to respond to my usual Flecainide PIP. This led to hospital over the weekend. After a somewhat lengthy process I eventually returned to sinus rhythm with the help of more flecainide, more Bisoprolol and a new one for me, IV magnesium. I was discharged

Cold - but not cold !
The REAL post….Firstly, I do take 5 mgs Bisoprolol morning and evening. I have always found it a comfort to have a hot water bottle on my feet in bed in cold weather because my feet are never ‘cosy’. However, the other night, after muttering to my husband about not being able to sleep because my feet

To travel or not…
I am very thankful to have found this group as it has provided considerable amounts of information that otherwise can be a challenge to find even with the internet at our fingertips. I am a 55 year old man who was officially diagnosed with AFib in December 2021 after spending the night in the hospital

AF triggers
I wrote this as a reply to another post but decided that it would just be hijacking the original post, so started a new one. I definitely have triggers for AF. Anything that my body doesn’t like will trigger AF. I have a very difficult diet. I am intolerant to gluten, dairy and soya. If I have any

Pre Syncope/Right Bundle Branch Block
PAF for a number of years now, fairly well controlled with medication of Flecainide, Apixaban, Bisoprolol. The last 3 months episodes of AF have increased. But worryingly for the first time I've had 3 episodes of Pre syncope a couple of second period where I think I'm going to pass out. After effects

choice between meds and ablation
hi. I was diagnosed with af back in march after having episodes for around 12-18 months. As per usual they were getting worse and more frequent each time. In march this year, it was actually caught on ECG at a@e hence the diagnosis. Since then, I have had 2 echocardiograms (Nhs and private) both

Atrial fibrillation post ablation
Hi everyone! I have read the info sheet and noted that palpitations are normal for some time after an ablation. I had my second ablation 5 weeks ago for afib and flutter. Everything was quite quiet for 4 weeks and then bam a few minutes of afib. Now I have had a minute or so of afib everyday. My EPs

Doxazosin to replace Candestarten immediately continue with Bisoprolol ?
I had a test for growths, benign, on both adrenal glands. This blood test was done when I was taking candestarten and Bisoprolol, blood pressure lowering tablets, which can apparently interfere with the results. My doctor received a letter from the consultant, with the above results. Recommending to

Immodium ?
Can any of you tell me if it’s ok to take Immodium whilst on Warfarin and Bisoprolol. I’ve tried to check on three drug checker sites but they don’t recognise that particular trade name, and I don’t know what the components are. Also, I suppose Dioralyte is ok ? Thank you. Annie.

Beta Blocker Question
I’ve been on 1.25mg of bisoprolol for nearly 4 weeks and I feel really lethargic most of the time. I was on 2.5mg for 2 weeks prior but they made me dizzy. I’m struggling to get the energy to do housework and I’m fed up feeling like this. I’m having tests to see if I have any heart problems as my breathing

Lower heart rate after cardioversion
HiI had a cardioversion on 21/6 which successfully restored normal rhythm. My resting heart rate is now averaging 46 for the last week (a little over 65 before). Still on 2.5mg bisoprolol and edoxaban. Is that good, bad or indifferent? Starting to feel a bit tireder again but not sure if that is the
