bisoprolol giving anxiety attacks
Hello everyone! i started taking bisoprolol for pvc’s 2 years ago. But now i have a feeling I’ve become intolerant to it. I’ve been waking up nauseous, anxious and constantly getting adrenaline rushes. I tried stopping and i felt good, but on the 3rd day i got another panic attack probably a withdrawal

Bisoprolol at night?
Any ideas if taking bisoprolol at night would make me less tired during the day? I have only been taking it a week and a half (wk 1 =1.25, wk 2= 2.5), and I am not sure if it is the AF or bisoprolol that makes me need to face plant on my desk to sleep in the daytime. Any suggestions? Thanks

Episodes of Bradycardia + Ectopics?
Hi everyone, I posted on the forum previously regarding bradycardia which was continuing even after I reduced my Bisoprolol dose significantly. Unfortunately, around a month after stopping the Bisoprolol, the bradycardia still continues. I have had 2 echocardiograms within the last 12 months, 24-hour

Bisoprolol and codeine
Has anyone taking these together, I'm on bisoprolol and I was in hospital yesterday with chest pains but they didn't find anything heart related causing the chest pains so they gave me codeine for pain and Omeprazole

Random Tachycardia
Hi Hearties! I had 4 MIs in 2018 at the age of 38. My LAD was stented (99% blockage), I was given a boatload of meds, and sent on my way. In the years that followed, I have had countless trips back to the A&E, with the primary symptom being tachycardia, dizziness/light-headedness, and occasionally chest

Air conditioner and Afib
hello all, can anyone tell me if being in an air conditioned environment i.e car or room for a few hours can trigger off an AFIB episode. I was on a long car journey yesterday and woke this morning at 4 am and it’s sat at 139 since then . I’ve taken 2 extra bisoprolol and 1 extra Flecainide but it’s

Can anyone tell me I've been on Bisoprolol since my heart attack in April 2022 how long does it take for the beta Blocker to start making you feel breathless and lightheaded snd dizzy on exertion also very tired as I've been feeling like it since last November. My bnp was just over 400 which suggested

Tachycardia
Rather a long post I’m afraid. In 2000 I was 44 and developed unstable angina over 4 months. My husband had BUPA with his work so I saw a cardiologist quickly, put on aspirin, Bisoprolol and GTN. The cardiologist was always unsure whether it was a blockage to my LAD or a spasm and I was due to undergo

Interesting dilemma
Hi everyone I have had paroxysmal AF on and off for about 10 years with occasional flare-ups. Since being on the dreaded 2.5 mg Bisoprolol no flare-ups at all ( did get some on 1.35 mg ). However been in hospital for a couple of hand operations and my ecg always looks like AF never bothered the hospital

Live shingles vaccine or not?
I would appreciate your guidance on the importance of which kind of shingles vaccine to have, i.e. live or not? I am on medication for GCA, 5.5mg Prednisolone, plus Levothyroxine, Bisoprolol, Amlodipine, Rosuvastatin, Ursodeoxycholic Acid, Famotidine, Losartan. With many thanks.

Update on GP visit re: Tachycardia
I posted on here a few weeks ago about my tachycardia. My heart rate was above 100 while resting usually 115 bpm or less but above 100. Saw my GP the other day and he took my blood pressure and pulse rate and has prescribed me with Bisoprolol Fumarate 1.25 mg. I take it at 8:30 am every morning and

Hospital or not?
I started an AF episode yesterday at 4pm and it's still ongoing 22 hours later. I have been to A & E several times in the last 2 months but last time the doctor told me not to go unless my hr was 180 or so. I just lie quietly usually and it's about 80 unless I move around when it's about 100. He said

Further advice, please!
Hi. Asking for advice again. I've attached a table I created of my Levo dose and test results since last August, just before I started any thyroid treatment. I have also attached the three pages of all my results from test on 10th May. I have a long history of coronary artery disease since 2010 when

slow heart rate - should I be concerned?
I developed hyperthyroidism last year and it caused AF. The AF was persistent for 5 months and then when the thyroid function got back to normal I went back into normal rhythm. At about that time I had also just started anti arrhythmic meds and I had already been on bisoprolol since the thyroid issues

Almost a result!
Happy to say that after a telephone consultation with my lovely GP she has referred me for a 24 hour monitor to try to pinpoint my palmpitations - which are random to say the least. She has also upped my bisoprolol to 40 mg. so I'm hopeing that might sort out my dodgy heart-beats. Which I've

Wide QRS interval
I saw a consultant last week as a follow-up to a bypass nearly six months ago and to discuss how I was getting on with bisoprolol after a switch from Sotalol. I haven’t had any AF since bisoprolol was increased to 10mg but I had some quite fast AF in December prior to that. I still get a lot of PVCs
