Resting HR on Bisoprolol
Hi everyone, I was put on 1.25 Bisoprolol in March when I had a heart attack and then told to take it twice a day in July when I went into Atrial Flutter after open heart surgery, meaning I'm now on 2.5mg. My resting heart rate was mostly in the low 60s these last 6 months which I assumed was good. The

Introducing myself
I will be 55 soon and developed Afib a year ago in November. I am not overweight, exercise regularly, eat well, hardly drink, non smoker and not taking any medication. I have low Afib. My heart rate fluctuates under 100 mostly. I have been having it every two months (6-8 weeks), with one 4 week exception

2 years of AFib and stop
After being in continuous AFib since 18th October 2021, when diagnosed with AFib, having 2 failed Cardioversions, speak with several doctors at A & E when taken in, and the some Cardiologists, yesterday my AFib stopped! Today I have woken up and no AFib, feels strange. I'm just wondering if it because

Atorvastatin and depression
my father has been taking atorvastatin(20mg) for several years without issue, however following valve surgery(TAVI) in January his mental and cognitive state has severely declined to such an extent it is difficult for him to function. He has no history of mental health previously. He also takes: bisoprolol

Fast heart rate today
I've been back in AF for 4 weeks, and my pulse was 80-90ish most of the time, but this afternoon and evening it's gone up to 100-130bpm, and feels really uncomfortable. I'm on 7.5mg bisoprolol and 20mg rivaroxaban. In my first bout of AF I was on 10mg bisoprolol and my pulse always stayed below

Rising resting HR
Not so much an AFib post, but 6 weeks after a successful cardioversion I'm keeping a very close eye on my HR and this week it seems to be rather elevated. Each morning I wake and check my overnight resting HR according to my Fitbit. Whereas last week and previous I'd be at 60bpm or just below while sleeping

Leaky valves and arrythmia
Hi FriendsHas anyone had more than 1 leaky valves.? From an echo this year , it shows I have 3 of my heart valves leaking mildly , one of them according to the report is a little erratic, whatever that means. My cardiologist didn't give me anything special for the condition. He just told me to continue

beta blockers and anticoagulants
Medscape posted a long article about a research on beta blockers and how few RCTs have been done on their efficacy for AF. It was hard to interpret but seems that for some folk they make AF worse and for many the side effects are too negative. There’s also an article on over prescribing of anticoagulants

EasyHaler Salbutamol Sulfate 100mg
As anyone else had any reaction (ie increase in cough) to the above inhaler? I was switched to this in June (2023) & haven't stopped coughing! Also, I was put on Bisoprolol in Feb after an x-ray showed Arrhythmia. The x-ray result I had 2 wks ago showed as Normal! Last month I was given Omeprazole

Is anti-anxiety med too risky for arrhythmias?
Hi everyone, I’ve struggled with anxiety most of my life but it’s increased a lot since my SVT diagnosis 3 years ago. I have AVNRT & Atrial Tachycardia and take 1.25mg bisoprolol daily. I’ve tried meditation, yoga etc but I just can’t seem to get my anxiety under control. My question is, will the anxiety

Is My Resting Heart Rate Too Low?
Hi First time poster here. I am 62 had an angioplasty following a heart attack last month, with a single stent being fitted. I was reasonably fit through walking beforehand, and have been enjoying daily walks since the procedure, gradually building up my range on the flat, so I am very pleased at what

Statins
I am in my 70s and discovered to have heart issues at a pre opp assessment for a bowel op. Cardiologist put me on Ramipril, Bisoprolol and a Statin prior to having an MRI and CT Scan. It appears I have a mild systolic murmur and an artery less that 50% blocked. Aspirin now added to medication.I am finding
