Hi. I’m 58 with unstable angina. I’ve had one stent fitted. I’m on perindopril, Bisoprolol, aspirin, Atarvostatin, lansoprazole and Amlodopine. I’ve suddenly developed what initially looked like patches of excema about the size of a thumbprint. These have noe joined together covering my abdomen, lower legs and back, soles of my feet and palms of my hands. The skin on my legs seems very thin. I saw a nurse when it first started in June and she said she thought it was excema but surely that doesn’t just come on (I’ve never suffered from it before) Could it possibly be vascular? Any experience or thoughts? Obviously I will try and see my GP but that’s proving to be quite tricky! Thanks.

Skin issues
Hi RATP, I'm 67 and developed excema when I was about 45. Mine isn't too bad but I itch all over sometimes. I get big blotches of red skin, mostly on my arms and back. A quick pasting of betnovate soon gets rid of it. I imagine having it on the soles of your feet isn't helpful. I've read that bisoprolol can cause itchy skin, so the two combined could exacerbate the issue, but I doubt the two are linked. It's just the 🤬 ageing process 🥴 (usual disclaimer here)
Hi I have this too, I understand it is the Bisoprolol. I get small dry itchy patches on my wrist and knuckles on fingers. I find that hydrocortisone cream from the chemist helps. I apply 2 or 3 times a day. I have a flare up everytime they have increased my medication.
Many thanks. That’s reassuring.
