Does anyone have trouble sleeping while taking Bisoprolol? I have been waking about 3.30 in a hot sweat and having to try and do deep breathing to calm it down but cannot get back to sleep. I have read that Bisoprolol depletes your melatonin and COQ10 which isn’t good. Does anyone have any tips on

Ve’s and SVE’s???
Hi. I am new to the group and have been struggling for over 15 years with what has been diagnosed as having low blood pressure and VE’s and SVE’s. As the years have gone by (I am 48) the symptoms seem to get worse, more episodes, lightheadedness, anxiety and the fear of impending doom…to the point

Some good news at last.
Some good news at last. Saw EP for 6 week follow up, 2 weeks ago, reduced Bisoprolol to 1.25mg but continue with heart failure meds and booked echocardiogram which I had yesterday. Sonographer was lovely, very chatty, I had my previous report from Late January 24 with me, Ejection Fraction 28%, severe

Serious shortage of some medicines.
There is an article in today’s Guardian which refers to a serious shortage of some medicines: “Medicine shortages in England ‘beyond critical’, pharmacists warn.” No heart medications are mentioned in the article, but I wondered if anyone had experienced problems obtaining any of their regular heart

Lots of Energy Yesterday
Yesterday, I felt like my old self and despite the heat worked in my garden for most of the day. Could have done more and my energy was almost limitless. Why was that you may ask? Well I forgot to take my beta blocker 25mg of Metoprolol that morning. My goodness who would have thought that medication

Haz58
Hello Haz58, I’m sorry you are having such a rotten time in sorting out the medications which you can tolerate. I could not take Azapriothine or Methotrexate but have settled reasonably happily with a daily routine of Bisoprolol, Levothyroxine, Amlodipine, Prednisolone, Ursodeoxycholic Acid, Losartan

Ablation cancelled due to my weight!
Had a cardioversion in November which gave me 2 months freedom from Afib, before returning (see link) https://healthunlocked.com/bhf/posts/150415532/atrial-fibrillation-is-back My cardiologist referred me to another hospital with the intention of having a ablation. Sadly, today the other cardiologist

Beta blockers
I'm 68, female with NASH/ Cirrhosis which is compensated. I have recently been prescribed 1.25 mg of Bisoprolol Fumarate (beta blocker) but I'm so anxious about taking it as my GP seemed unsure about any effect on my liver. I was wondering if any members take beta blockers with no ill effects? I'm also

B12 jabs and tablets giving me palpitations. Anyone else have trouble
Hi, I now find if I take a sublingual B12 tablet of 1000ug I experience palpitations. I have reduced to 500, and then 250ug same problem but slightly less severe. The symptoms came on soon after taking the tablets and lasted a few hours. I swapped back onto my injections Hevert B12 Depot Hydroxocobalaminacetate

Here We Go Again
Four days ago, I reported that after 4 ‘failed’ ablations, I had undergone a ‘successful’ cardioversion for what my EP said was atrial tachycardia. For four days, I enjoyed normal sinus rhythm and a heart rate of between 50 and 70bpm. However, my joy was short lived. This evening, whilst watching a

Diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib in 2022, on 2.5 mcg Bisoprolol only until last week. Had only few AFib episodes( 4 in a year) and found beta blocker increasingly difficult to tolerate, especially nausea. Saw an EP cardiologist last Monday who suggested to stop my Bisoprolol , take nothing for 24 hours

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
This is my first post. Back in 2019 I had what felt like "flutterings" and breathlessness/dizziness. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia. A 24 hour ecg showed ventricular ectopic beats. An echocardiogram showed mild valve leakages but no obvious cardiomyopathy. I was advised to stop/reduce my caffeine

New to PA and need info and support
Hi, for nearly 10 years I have been returning blood tests with low b12 levels, recently these have been 140 / 155 / 170 and 2 weeks ago 165. I continued to advise GP that there was an issue. In 2018 I had 6 loading doses but no follow up treatments. Throughout 2023 I reported tiredness and more concerningly
