The
biopsy
confirmed my breast cancer diagnosis. I had to push for information as the pathology results are incomplete. So now I know I have a stage 2 invasive carcinoma, hormone positive. Cancer type to follow. I've been referred for an MRI.

Beware of Lansoprazole
I had an endoscopy and it was discovered that I have multiple polyps in my stomach due to taking this drug long-term and now have to have them removed and also awaiting
biopsy
results. I was never told of this possible side-effect and am so angry. Please be careful.

Qualifying for Tocilizumab
He did say that he wished he could recommend tocilizumab but to do that he needed evidence from either the scan or a temporal artery
biopsy
for me to qualify!!! And I had neither of those and this was the case when I was finally diagnosed as again it was weeks after I had started pred.

Prostate Biopsy
Hello everyone, I have had 2 biopsies in the last 2 years (the last one was in January 2023) with the latest one showing 1 out of 12 cores positive for Gleason 3+3 and another core suspicious for cancer. It was also noted on my last MRI that I had a bladder outlet obstruction. My PSA went as high as

warning re gastroscopy and gastrografin for ME/CFS sufferers . Plus neuropathy ?
The
biopsy
was negative for h pylori which only confirmed the results of the stool test. The letter said I have ‘chemical or reflux gastritis.’ I’m not sure whether that positively rules out autoimmune gastritis.

Recently Diagnosed. Overwhelmed.
I was advised that I was a candidate for active surveillance for the next year with periodic PSA checks and another
biopsy
in a year. I saw Dr. Catalona at Northwestern University in Chicago for a second opinion on February 12.

Dumb Question about rising PSA after initial RT.
Have always been curious, as when initial
biopsy
was ordered, the doctor said, "if you were a few months older (70), your PSA level would not have prompted further investigation".

Biopsy "sliding scale"?
Hi,I am going to have a
biopsy
tomorrow and they have asked me not to take my insulin [type-2 dka] as " may need sliding scale" but not sure about what this means? I'm ok to take my other oral meds. I am trying to avoid Dr Google as this has caused more unnecerssary worry than needed, thanks

So I requested another
biopsy
. Which i got my results over the phone by my nurse. I find it hard that my cancer has changed, I am not sure if it's common. I don't see my oncologist till Thursday when I start IV chemotherapy.

Drop in resting heart rate since pred
I had a temporal artery
biopsy
yesterday so resting up and taking it easy. I wear a fitbit so am aware of my usual resting heart rate. It is normally between 61-65. When asleep in early hours it doesn't normally drop below 60, although sometimes to 58 or so.

First Post Biopsy Consult
I've also learned that it may be advisable to request a second opinion on the
biopsy
results (I've been pondering the advice of sending it to John Hopkins). On
biopsy
day, I brought up Decipher and my Urologist seemed amenable to it, pending results.

Health Update
The consultant says it is cancer and will be confirmed by the
biopsy
. Lucky it's caught early and doesn't look like it's spread to the lymph nodes. The plan is breast conservation therapy. A lumpectomy and radiotherapy.

The drugs stabilised it and they slowly started to clear so by the time the urgent dermatology appointment came through they couldn’t do a
biopsy
. Now my finger and toe nails are lifting and coming off and I’ve been told by the professionals there is nothing I can do to stop this!

Metastatic prostate cancer in the lungs
Needle
biopsy
identified it as metastatic adenocarcinoma from prostatic origin. 5 sessions of 50Gy cyberknife treatments on the 1.4 cm nodule. As of September, 2023 my MO has me on Abiraterone 1000mg, Prednisone 5mg, Eligard shots quarterly.

Venetoclax
They did a bone marrow
biopsy
which showed 50% CLL infiltration on top of the pancytopenia. They have suggested treatment with Venetoclax only which they have said may reduce the frequency of transfusions which is currently weekly. I have only ever heard of V being used as a combination therapy.
