I saw the surgeon yesterday. The biopsy confirmed my breast cancer diagnosis. I had to push for information as the pathology results are incomplete. So now I know I have a stage 2 invasive carcinoma, hormone positive. Cancer type to follow.

I've been referred for an MRI. I'll have a follow up to discuss the results and talk about the treatment plan.

I asked questions about treatment and surgery but the surgeon said she wanted to see all test results before answering

I feel better informed and know that surgery could happen mid/late February.

And so the journey goes on!

I had the same, fortunately it was a lumpectomy and radiotherapy, both of which were relatively ok. I had been put on Anastrazole a couple of months before, as they 'lost' the lump, and it shrank from the first time it was diagnosed. Fingers crossed it will be easy for you x

Sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. My whole life changed with my diagnosis. Everything was different, driving to work, going to the grocery etc. I have Invasive Lobular Cancer ER+/PR+ HER2-. Several things I learned though the process. Be your own self advocate. After my diagnosis I was scanned from head to toe with MRIs thrown in to see if any spread was recognized. My 1st Onc seemed to follow a flow chart but things went a different direction after the surgical pathology report. I would recommend getting your Vitamin D tested. 92% of new breast cancer diagnosis are deficient of vitamin D - 80% are extremely deficient.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear how your diagnosis has gone. How are you feeling at the moment?

Like you I am ER+/PR+ HER2-. Just waiting for type. I have my MRI on Sat 27th.

I totally agree in advocating for oneself! Having had a stroke (Nov 22) I'm concerned about hormone therapy treatment. But have resolved to wait till I know the surgical pathology results before making a decision. Though I will discuss these concerns when I next see the surgeon.

Thanks for the heads up on Vitamin D!

Take care and keep in touch 🙏❤️
