Why am I posting this?
Why am I posting a photo of a new hosepipe head? Well after 3 attempts to water the garden in the hot weather over Easter I flung the hose pipe down in frustration as I had to answer another shout from himself of 'Help. help. Where are you'. Result smashed head and need to buy a new one !! Today it is

Itching
I haven't been on this site for some time, so please forgive me if you've heard this all before. I was diagnosed in 2011 as having PBC, but I was itching constantly from about 2008. I was put on Ursofalk, which relieved a little, but not much, of the itching. I was happily taking my Ursofalk until

I am a 64 year old woman and I was diagnosed with PBC in 2012. I had high LFT's and it was confirmed with a liver biopsy. I was put on URSO and my LFT'S came down. About 2 years ago my numbers went way up. I have been very fortunate as I don't experience the itching or extreme fatigue. My gastroenterologist

End stage symptoms?
Hi all As per my original story I am seeking support in caring for my Dad. It has been a year now since we were in a general hospital having the acities drained. His appetite is good and overall doesn't look as jaundice. He says he can feel the fluid though his stomach is not distended. Can anyone give

I was worked up for PBC a year ago. Had inconclusive results with Gastroenterologist but my Primary care md is concerned for high alkaline phosphotase (6 times normal high) etc. AMA negative and biopsy showed portal inflammation. Urso didn’t lower alp much so was discontinued. Now have very watery diarrhea

Cholecystitis (Gallbladder Inflamation)
My GP told me when she diagnosed gallstones that it was very unlikely that any surgeon would consider removing my gallbladder because of its close proximity to the liver. I should add that by her own admission my doc knows little about cirrhosis, which is my claim to fame on here! However, recently

Living with PSP
I was diagnosed with P.S.P in Sept 2018 and just today attended my first PSPA meeting at Liner Hotel which I found quite daunting but informative. I am still very nervous about what the future holds but hope to remain positive but feel sorry for my wife who will be caring for me.

Pregnancy Liver Problems
Just curious has anyone had cholestasis of pregnancy then later developed cirrhosis. I had it with my third child?

Thank you so much for all your support out there, really helps both of us! Peeps’ gall bladder has gone, just in time, thickened walls, sepsis and gall stones and he is slowly recovering. The PV is solid and is covered with varices on the liver, bile ducts as well as the PV. He will have to come back

On the back of TheAwfulToad's post re Dwight Lundell, consider this: If you've had a heart attack and take statins for 5 years as a consequence, your extended lifespan would be considerable and worth putting up with the side effects up to and including rhabdomyolysis wouldn't it? PMR and muscle response
I'd appreciate anyone's opinion re PMR and muscle response. My Rheumatologist says that the inflammation in the muscle from PMR can damage the muscle which I felt was one justification for taking Pred. She says the restricted blood flow from the swollen vessels doesn't allow nutrition/02 to nourish the

Gall bladder operation
On 26th Feb I am having my gall bladder removed. Last year I had a major op on my neck which went well but since then I haven’t got back to where I was with my lungs-more breathless now and really struggle sometimes especially at night. I will see the doctor in two weeks to discuss everything and I
