Been busy - GP vs. FM GP
Well, to cut a long story short - I think that I need a new, 'switched on' GP. I took everything that I have learned from all the lovely angels on here and armed with my meds, my vitamins etc and went and saw a functional medicine specialist 17/09/19 - WOW, for the first time in my life I was talking

Complications after cranioplasty
Complications after cranioplasty. Nearly six months after my operation and I still have CSF leaking into my scalp (sub galeal swelling). Wearing compression bandages and sleeping with head raised. Anyone else suffered this complication or had to have shunt operation to resolve similar issue? Feeling

Good day all! Has anyone had loss of hair starting a couple of months after surgery? Mine has been horribly shedding for a month now! I am taking Biotin vitamins, regular multivitamins and using a Biotin shampoo. It has slowed a bit but my hair is so thin now! I even got it trimmed hoping that would

Thinning hair - supplements??
Good morning all I thought I would ask you lovely people if you can advise on your experience with supplements. I had 8/8 oestrogen positive breast cancer. Currently on zoladex and letrozole for the past 2 years and will continue for a bit. I'm trying to tackle one depressing aspect of my life at a time

Remission should be the holy grail
My wife is 13q mutated and started Ibrutinib as a first line treatment in January at 48 years old after 5 years of W&W This choice was made over chemo because she’s a high risk of other cancers The side effects were very painful and after a month, her hematologist decreased her dose to 2 pills a Day

Shingles and watch and wait
I am 7 years into watch and wait- no symptoms other than steadily increasing wbc(. 200now) . Last week diagnosed with shingles and got antiviral medication , which is hopefully clearing it up. My question is , does getting shingles signal the need to start treatment? Should I let my consultant know,

Will this end
I have been dealing with hell the past few months. At this point just not sure if it will end. I worry every day all day and can’t sleep when I do wake up it’s all over again. I had been having awful headaches which lead to treacherous body aches after so many Er visits all test were negative. I started

Remote DBS in China
Remote surgery will start to become popular with 5g networks. 5G is being used to perform remote surgery from thousands of miles away, and it could transform the healthcare industry https://www.businessinsider.com/5g-surgery-could-transform-healthcare-industry-2019-8?utmSource=twitter&utmContent=referral

Here I go again
I had a CT scan of my brain done Monday. The dr ordered it without contrast. It came back clear. I have the written report and they compared it to one I had in August 2012. Now, after googling, I am reading that CT scans can't see brain tumors unless you have contrast. How is this possible if a tumor

Psa question
Got my psa reading today and it had a single message below it stating that the results may be affected by exogenous biotin consumption. This message wasn’t on my reading 2 weeks ago or any other reading. And 2) would the axium pet/scan I had earlier this week affected the psa reading any??

Opicapone
My husband was given Opicapone about 18 months ago but stopped taking it for some reason. He started taking it again just over a month ago. He found immediate improvement with it eg. not having to go to the toilet so often during the night but he is finding it difficult to get the correct dose. It does
