More hair loss questions!
Having just read the latest hair loss discussion I’m really worried. I have been on hydroxycarbemide for 2 months now. I’ve ET and platelets were 689 initially and after 5 weeks 537 so my tablets were increased from 7 a week to 9 a week. Really hoping that I’ll be able to go back to 7 a week. My husband

How to deal with cancer hair
Hello beautiful ladies! For those of you with with the lovely, frizzy, dry, brittle, lifeless cancer hair, just wet your hair, massage 2 eggs into your hair, shampoo and rinse! Eggs are a nutrient-rich hair superfood. Vitamins A and E, biotin, and folate are just some of the nutrients found in eggs

Still Clueless
I am still having thryoid issues 4 years later. I cannot understand why my dr keeps changing my dosage. My dr retired in Dec so this new dr did a tsh test, results showed it was 0.03. I was taking 100 mcg of Levothyroxine at the time. She immediately dropped me down to 70 mcg. Test results in Mar showed

Intersting article of Biotin and Thyroid tests!
This popped up on my news feed elsewhere! "A sizeable proportion of people use cosmetic products containing enough biotin to interfere with several laboratory measurements, including those of thyroid function, new research finds. " From https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/974203?uac=127923AV&faf=1&sso

Boron
Anyone know if boron and strontium citrate are okay to take together? Perhaps only one is better than the other. I have mild osteoporosis but am trying to aid a lumbar bone graft fusion from surgery 3 months ago. I take d3, k2, strontium citrate and biotin. I also am on Gabapentin for nerve pain. I

fungal infections
I developed toenail fungus. I have been on Ibrutinib low dose for about 6 years. I just read a Journal article stating that Ibrutinib causes fungal infections. I have been self treating topically - also saw a podiatrist but am not taking anything internally. I suspect it will not resolve. Is anyone

HELP!!
From invaluable advice given to me and other members, and articles referenced, I have gleaned the following:Autonomous nodules can be T3 secreting and take over thyroid function, a dying thyroid often makes more T3 than T4 in order to preserve levels, but this can't last. Also, can have central hypothyroidism

Shingles Vaccine

Bloods help please
Latest bloods. I was over active 4 weeks ago so was cut from 1 1/2 grains of armour (NDT) to 1 grain. I struggle to go over a grain as I get terrible heart palps, also as soon as I up my NDT my t3 goes over range as it is quite high already. I am unsure whether to add in 25mg of levo (tirosint) or

Increased heart rate and energy in the middle of the night
Please, can you help me determine why I’m having these bright eyed and bushy tailed episodes lasting hours in the wee hours of the night? 3:20 am and I still have not fallen asleep. My heart beat it stronger in the middle of the night than during the day (unless I’m exerting myself) Is this likely

Can you refuse NHS TSH test
Hi As part of the ongoing investigations into my balance issue my GP has ordered a raft of blood tests, B12, ferritin, estimated GFR, folate, liver function, bone profile, electrolytes, which I have no issue with, however he's stuck TSH in as well, I've managed to dodge GP scrutiny for 7 months but

Hair loss
I know it’s seen as vane, but I’m fast approaching baldness at the rate I’m losing my hair. On a more practical note it’s going to be chilly next winter. I’m supplementing with Folic acid, Biotin, Collagen and several more advised nutritional additives but still no improvement in my hair loss. Does
