Bereavement support
I wondered if anyone knows of any
bereavement
support or networks available to parents who have lost adult children with Down's syndrome? Many thanks

Dealing with bereavement. How to cope with loneliness and intense emotions?
I live alone and have very few friends. I just lost my pet dog, who’s life was intertwined with all of my daily activities. I’m now finding myself feeling very alone despite being the person to self isolate. I had all the company I needed with my dog but now feel intense loneliness due to his passing

“NACOA” (National Association for Children of Alcoholics)
(They can also help in the event of a family alcohol-related
bereavement
). Over the past 15-years, NACOA has had over one million contacts from children, yet many people out there still don’t know of their existence.

Does stress affect liver function ?
We have just been through a period of intense stress/
bereavement
/trauma and I'm wondering if this has had an effect on his ability to compensate? As in, physically, is the liver function directly related to stress hormone productions etc or am I imagining this?

Needing a little advice..... 🙏
On top of this, we had a family
bereavement
just before Christmas, my father in law is unwell and deteriorating quickly (mother in law not coping), my nephew (only a few years old) is having cancer treatment and is very poorly (family not coping). I am supporting as much as I can (but not local).

Tingling in arms and legs
In some respects it seems to me to have been triggered by the stress caused following my initial diagnosis (and a
bereavement
a few months later).

I am strong but i cannot walk on stormy seas.
I have a number of friends and acquaintances who find themselves living alone due to
bereavement
and loss, and its not something that any of us wanted, but it is how the cookie crumbles, and very few of those friends have immediate family to turn to for advice. and so we sink into unending mire and maelstrom

7km and a new routine
With a very heavy workload, a recent
bereavement
and ever diminishing hours of daylight, my weekday runs, always previously 4km on a Monday and 5km on a Wednesday, have dropped to 3km both times and my long runs have varied from 5 to 10km in recent weeks.

Am I just making symptoms fit?
I've never been able to cope with loss, whether through
bereavement
or the end of a relationship. My father died suddenly when I was 12 and from then on I craved attention from any man I met, but never had a meaningful relationship until I was in my mid-thirties.

Bereavement and depression
Hello, I'm new here and have been treated for depression in the past and was widowed during treatment. Have been raising young children on my own, been on and off anti depressants. Thought I was managing OK then had a breakdown over lockdown. Back on antidepressants. Interested in talking to people who

Week 9 Run 3 🎉🎉🎉
This year has been so unkind with
bereavement
as well as family terminal illness, this program has kept me sane and enabled me to just get outside & do it. I’m not skinny, fit or now running marathons - but I feel so much better for doing it.

Off topic -Flare we go again!
I would love to know if any scientific brains have worked out that RA sufferers get worse in times of sadness following some emotional trauma like
bereavement
/divorce/ unemployment or just pets? I think this disease sends sadness enemies round our bloodstream and that kicks it off again.

All time low
Iv had family
bereavement
to cope with as well as Covid lockdown and I cant take any more. I did have cbt which helped a little but that ended a couple of months ago. I'm convinced there is something else wrong with me but dr says its anxiety.

Advice on blood tests please
(Had only reduced it as I was overly emotional after a close family
bereavement
and suspected that caused mood swings which were exacerbated by Lio) Seeing new Endo tomorrow so would appreciate any advice.

Stress related issues
I wondered if it was caused in my case by separation from grandchildren, a kind of
bereavement
. Then I thought this was silly but is it really?
Bereavement
is a profound feeling. I have noticed in friends that it sometimes results in illness. So why not in my case too?

Blood pressure obsession and anxiety
Before my
bereavement
, my blood pressure measured by my GP was 118/78. Following a couple of hospital visits where my blood pressure was high due to very severe anxiety (I explained to the nurse at the time that my heart rate isn't usually 145bpm!)

COPD, DEPRESSION & BEREAVEMENT
The last thing I thought that I'd be suffering from depression. I have COPD & not able to go out very often because of SOB. I lost my husband 3 months ago, he had been in a Nursing home for nearly 3 years which should have made it easier for me living on my own, but the guilt I feel him being there
