I'm feeling awful at the moment. Ache all over no energy sore throat. Iv got lumps in my mouth that come and go. Bad stomache. It feels like flue. Iv had repeated tests and scans they found nothing. Today another blood test for anaemia. I have arthritis and I'm waiting to see a rheumatologist to rule out an autoimmune disease. Drs prescribed Mertazapine but I'm reluctant to take them. Iv had family bereavement to cope with as well as Covid lockdown and I cant take any more. I did have cbt which helped a little but that ended a couple of months ago. I'm convinced there is something else wrong with me but dr says its anxiety.

So sorry your feeling so unwell and if it's of any comfort, several years ago I found myself in a very similar situation, I felt physically so poorly, I couldn't get up, couldn't eat, I had an extremely sore mouth and what felt like a lump inside my throat, I had aches and pains in various parts of my body, it was a terrible time, my doctor examined me and did tests all came back ok so he eventually diagnosed anxiety, I couldn't believe it, how could this be possible? but alas he was right, once I began to accept his diagnosis I then slowly began to heal. Anxiety is so powerful it can give us so many physical symptoms, try and practice some deep breathing and self soothing, be kind to yourself, use that inner voice that we all have to remind yourself that this episode of anxiety will eventually pass and your going to be ok, treat yourself how you would treat a friend if they felt poorly, I would also recommend any of Dr Claire Weekes books, she explains anxiety perfectly and gives fantastic guidance to overcome it ❤
Hi Den64, let us know what the Rheumatologist has to say. Not all autoimmune disorders can be easily found. I'm sorry you have been suffering for so long. I hope the answer comeswith your next appointment. Good Luck xx
