Panic and gad

Hi im mike a 62 year old single male i have panic attacks and gad with depression my doctor tried valium and other meds none worked then she tried me on matrazpine and clondine and so far there helping better than the other meds i was on. All alone in maine.

You aren't alone, there are people here that you can talk to. If you can try to get CBT, it's not a cure all but it does help. I'm in a similar situation to you - I've declined the offer of medication, I've known people that have been on it and it actually makes them worse. I'm not in any way suggesting you should go against the advice of your doctor. Talking therapy does work, it won't fix all your problems overnight but it does help. Never alone in this, most people here can relate. Unfortunately I can relate all too well and I went through a bunch of different meds before I found one that worked. I’m glad what you are taking now is working for you. Good luck
