Getting back after injury
things have been going really well. I've completed week 4 and really felt ready to tackle week 5. Unfortunately, I did something to my toe and had severe pain in my little toe joint of my right foot when running barefoot. I do a lot of taekwondo and with an imminent grading have had to rest up big

Running with a friend for the first time
HAppily repeating W6, after some time off due to an
injury
and a holiday. It's tough, but I'm getting
back
into it. New challenge tomorrow - though - I have signed up for a 5k in May with a friend of mine and she asked if we want to go running with her tomorrow!

today and it is definitely a knee

A little bit of hope perhaps
Thought it might be nice to give a little bit of hope on a sunny day. First of all, I think it might be good to hear that my Mum first noticed (PSP) symptoms at least 12 years ago, maybe even 13. I have sometimes read that people only survive for 5-10 years with PSP, and although this might be true for

Movelat Cream
I was wondering if any of you GPtypes could help me. I have just been prescribed (last Friday) movelat cream as I have a sprained ligament in my knee (but have chronic knee condition anyway). BUT I was reading the info today and it says beware if you have asthma (or words to that effect) - do you know

Finally might be getting my ingrown nail sorted.
Hiya blogging is still bewildering to me, been suffering from an ingrowing toe nail for about four years. Been on several lots of antiobiotics, for it. Had it removed well part of it at my local dr's surgery I was at the time. Then I had the rest of it removed at my local doctor's surgery. A third time

Hypnosis in asthma treatment
I am a health psychologist in training studying the use of hypnosis in asthma for my doctorate. My GP put me on to hypnosis and autogenic training to help my own asthma control, so I know about its benefits on a personal basis. Is anyone aware of any studies being done with hypnosis or relaxation with

Pycnogenol
Have seen articles in newsapapers about Pycnogenol. It is also referred to on this asthma site news as ""'An add-on treatment made from pine bark extract may help to improve the symptoms of children with mild to moderate asthma, suggests a new study."" This was in 2005. Would appreciate your comments

Its time ... we need a proper UK assessment.
I have a wonderful son called Lucas. Its terrible to see him suffer. He has a number of triggers that are predictable and on occasion asthma that I cant pin down to anything. I can work on the usual suspects but .. the others ... :( It makes complete sense to try to collate data from asthma sufferers

Well - my hospital appointment yesterday was very tiring but also drew a line under the rest of my life. Got the head honcho who told me everything they had looked at and that appart from the fact that I was slightly hypertensive and was walking like a cripple (he has a very appropriate sense
