Fingers crossed, I'm fine so far
Hello As a newbie, I'll relate my journey to date. I can't recall any stress or viruses, but I had worsening symptoms of runny eyes, jaw/ear ache, sore neck and headache. Over 3 weeks this was diagnosed as hay fever (pharmacist and GP) and sinusitis and possible Norovirus - reaction to antibiotic

Copious bleeding from lungs!
Hi I have recently been in hospital after a terrifying experience of bringing up copious amounts (about 2 cupfuls) of red, foamy blood. I have bronchiectasis (since 2012) but have NEVER brought up blood at any time before. I had a CT scan but it only showed an exacerbation of the bronchiectasis with

Is it safe to eat Grapefruit while taking certain medication?
Hi all. I absolutely love grapefruit but just looking some advice if grapefruit is safe to eat with certain medication as I've heard that it can work against them. I've been diagnosed with PBC & AIH and therefore have a mixture of tablets to take. My meds are Rifampicin, Prednisone, Omeprazole, Ursodeoxycholic

At last a permanent Rheumy -I hope
finally got to see the new man in post today. What a refreshing change. Listened with mounting horror to my experiences so far. Then completely confused me by saying he thought that I might just have Fibromyalgia as well as perhaps GCA , but instead of PMR. Anyway now I have one empty arm as he has done

Looking for advice?
I have always suffered with extremely painful periods. Last September they started becoming irregular (only having between a couple of days to a week between bleeding) they were extremely heavy and painful to the point of passing out at work and codeine didn't even touch the pain. I was prescribed mefenamic

First post here... looking for some support and advice :(
Hello, After a few weeks on there, this is my very first post. I felt the need to write something after I experienced the worst pain I ever had last night... I have not yet been formally diagnosed with endo and I think this is one of the most frustrating things. I'm going to try to share my story below

Stomach problems
Hi dear forum, still alive and following, but not much to tell till now. I'm on 30 mg Prednisone now, Methotrexate once weekly and take Alendronate once a week as well. Lately, whenever I eat something, no matter what, I get pain in my stomach. It lasts longer. Tea doesn't help, oats cooked in water

The Lighter Side: Appointment with New GP - Am I Losing the Plot / Is it Me?! :-/ One for the Aunties, maybe? ;-)
Greetings All, Aunties especially. Hoping your day is going better than mine did recently. First, as You Lot know, I'm not usually one to let-off steam here - I always prefer to make people giggle. And, as an honorary Uncle, I guess I should know the answer to this one. But isn't it strange how you

Osteoporosis and Alendronate (Fosamax)
My wife is 69, really fit and healthy but her bone density is not great and her specialist has diagnosed her with osteoporosis. She wants to start her treatment by taking an Alendronate tablet once a week, my wife is hoping to avoid the Zoledronate intravenous infusion yearly as she feels she has little

Tranexamic Acid
Hi, I have been diagnosed with a bit of everything - endo, adhesions but mostly adenomyosis. My GP has referred me to see a Gynae about some treatment but meantime she has given me Tranexamic Acid tables to be taken whilst on my period, 3 times a day. Has anyone tried this and if so, has it helped

Week full of tests 😔
I recently posted about tingling in my legs and basically my doctor prescribed more deep sleep. Well that's easier said than done as I know you all know. However, I have given it my best effort despite a hurricane and having the worst four days of my life with almost no sleep. Other than that I feel
