Emotional First Aid Ted Talk By Guy Winch
https://www.ted.com/talks/guy_winch_why_we_all_need_to_practice_emotional_first_aid/up-next boy does this help. I had an issue today that was upsetting and this is helping me today. I bought one of his self coaching books and am reading his column on Ted. This is the most energizing thing I've done!

Taking Alendronic Acid and Adcal.
I have Valvular Heart Disease,Angina and COPD. I also have Calcified Blood Vessels. I was reading that if you have Calcified Blood Vessels you might be better off by not taking any Calcium tablets. I'm not sure what to do about it, whether or not to take the Calcium tablets or not. I know that none

Tranexamic acid
What’s your experience of Tranexamic Acid? I’m currently on week 5 of heavy period after coming off everything a year ago. Had coil removed and stopped Zoladex injections to give my body a break from over 10 years of drugs. I wish I hadn’t. The pain I thought was quite intense is nothing compared to

I have to make a decision re having a yearly infusion of the above medication for osteoporosis. I have for many years taken ilandronic and alendronic orally but my bone density showed no improvement at the half way treatment check up (I believe this was possibly due to mix ups on my part and the GP

Finding the balance between Dyskinesia and off time
While i know that there is no magic pill here , i am at my wits end on trying to find that balance . I also wanted to go natural , so it was suggested that a combo of mucana and sinemet (she can only take 1/4 of 25/100 sinemet) might alleviate it . Sometimes it seems ok, sometimes it makes her more dyskinesic

Bisphosphonates for Long Term Steroid Use
My GP has been going on about me using Alendronic Acid since 2016. He went on about it again yesterday. He said they they have been told that anybody who has been on long term steroids MUST be given AA. I pointed out that my Dexascans were excellent and he looked them up and agreed, but he said that

Cerelle progesterone bleeding
Hi everyone, I got diagnosed with endometriosis in September 2019 and since then have been working my way through a list of medications. I started with non-hormonal like mefanamic acid and transexamic acid but these did nothing for my pain. I'd had bad experiences with the pill when I was younger so

Reflux / heartburn caused by alendronic acid.
I’ve been taking AA for four months now with no problems and only now do I have a feeling of indigestion / heartburn in my chest. Not on the day I take it as I would have expected but later in the week. I think it started after I had a craving for a can of Diet Coke (which I gave up years ago for exactly

Rheumatologist
Hello everyone I hope this is ok to ask. I have had PMR for over 9 years and only seen a rheumatologist once four years ago for advice on osteoporosis. He was in the Royal Surrey in Guildford and I didn't get on well with him because I am reluctant to take Denusomab on my dentist's advice. I am allergic

Nitrogen‐Containing Bisphosphonates Are Associated With Reduced Risk of Pneumonia in Patients With Hip Fracture.
A recent study found that nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates (N-BPs) such as alendronate, which are widely used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis, are linked with lower risks of pneumonia and of dying from pneumonia. The results are published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. The study

Burning feet, tingling, cramp
Hi. I’m on 150mg Thyroxine a day and have been for about 10 years. I’m type 1 diabetic since childhood, epileptic and coeliac. My feet are so sore now I can’t walk. The diabetic nurse said it wasn’t neuropathy as I have a good pulse and reflexes. They burn on the balls of the feet after 10 minutes, then
