I just came across several articles stating Alpha Lipoic Acid should not be taken by preclinical hypos, or hypos, by one, and another stating precautions and advice should be taken if on levothyroxine as it can lower its effects by a very significant amount adding, however, that it may be able to be taken four hours from administration of your thyroid med.
Does anyone have any experience in this scenario ?
I might be going on thyroid meds soon and i take alpha lipoic acid daily.
The first article i read said alpha lipoic acid AND ACETYLCARNITINE both should not be taken by pre or hypos and that HYPER THYROID individuals can safely take it.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for the validation. This does not seem to be common info where these products are promoted.
Yes. I ve tried these on and off for my neuropathy. Seems to do absolutely nothing painwise. Pain consistently worse and spreading over the years, especially last few years.

Be sure to supplement with Biotin and space that at least two -three hours away as it will eat up.your biotin. The more alpha, the more biotin you need . My lips were cracking and upper over lip sore and somewhat swollen , caused forever few wrinkles there after that subsided, when i didnt take the biotin. Beware of products that combine biotin with ala., as it must be spaced.
Even tho it doesnt work for me, it could work for someone else .
Oh yes, it had made my hair fall out ALOT.
