Arthritis and exercise

Hi, this is my first post in this forum, I used to be a Judo coach, but after a right knee arthroscopy 7 years ago and a left shoulder acromioclavicular stabilisation with lockdown about 5 years ago i was forced into retirement.

Fitness journey

Six years ago I had an arthroscopy on my left knee. It occasionally flares up but on the whole is ok but I do find my left hip can be painful at times. I have lost over a stone in weight on my diet but am now starting a fitness journey.

Can I ask if this is normal

It’s also the knee they did the arthroscopy on back on Feb 16th this year. It feels like sharp pains in there and especially if I try to walk without my crutches. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have experience of Osteoarthritis at a young age in the UK?

Before the lock down he performed an arthroscopy to see the condition my leg was in and to remove the screw from my ACL reconstruction on the hope I could receive a partial knee replacement but as the lock down has happened the consultation for the next steps was cancelled.

Flare ups

I had an arthroscopy on my left shoulder 4 weeks ago. I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t. My Rheumotoid has flared up and have been in constant pain from my shoulders to the soles of my feet. The simplest tasks cause me great pain. I inject Methotrexate weekly and Cosentyx monthly.

So worried about surgery and recovery

I'm scheduled for surgery(arthroscopy) in a week and I'm so scared. The last time I had arthroscopy with general anesthesia was when my COPD came into full blown existence(I had a problem with going up hill but otherwise not SOB-then after 2 blocks winded).

I’ve always had dodgy knees, had an arthroscopy on one about 12 years ago and was told I had arthritis of an 80 year old ! Mmmm I didn’t like news but I knew I had to keep them strong.

C25K Second time around

I had a right knee arthroscopy back in November accompanied by a Baker’s cyst which took a long time to clear up. However I have started over and am now at W5R1 and it’s all going well.

No arthroscopy for ankle & no miniscus repair in knee. Get a brace but procedures too risky at this time he said. Very direct and serious but cute - I'd take him fishing. Lol Hubby liked him too. We are sad, but I've learned to be a warrior.

I felt so smug....

No problems at all since the A-Flutter last August then the A-Fib in September triggered by the catheter ablation. That will teach me, woke up about 2.00am feeling odd, eventually got the Kardia out about 6.00 am and sure enough 160 bpm and in Fibrillation. So have tried for the first time the 200 mg

I was scheduled for ankle arthroscopy yesterday &miniscus for knee in a few weeks but he said "No" to any surgeries for extended time. I have suspected glaucoma & now I'm taking pred that can cause glaucoma. Pred & antibiotics so bad for belly.

Should I or shouldn’t I increase my Prednisone?

I have got an extremely sore and swollen knee,as previously mentioned. Two visits to the doctor have resulted in one x Ray ...”Normal” and a referral to the muscular clinic for an Arthroscopy (I don’t think this is a good idea but never mind). Are knees ever involved in PMR or is this a separate problem

Help.

I was also needing an arthroscopy which the anaesthetist cancelled a couple of times because my TSH was not 'in range' (it was suppressed, which I feel ok with). So, they messed around with my meds until they got the TSH to where they could do the operation (it was 5 - (0.27- 4.20).

PE after knee surgery and complications

He has to stay on apixiban for another 5 weeks and has already had one arthroscopy to remove the blood, but 10 days later it looks as though it's filling up again.

In November I had an arthroscopy to repair a torn meniscus in my right knee joint. Shortly after the Op. a Baker’s cyst in my knee ruptured causing my lower leg, ankle and foot to swell up and become very painful. I rushed off to A&E thinking I had a DVT. Fortunately that was not the case.
