#WorldArthritisDay
Today is #WorldArthritisDay (12th October) and we still want to spread awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). One way we can do this is to share the #RAFactOrFiction Quiz, which can help people learn a little more about this hidden misunderstood condition. You can help by taking and sharing the quiz

Bruising is worsening recently and so is joint
pain
! I have
arthritis
in both hands/thumb joints (as do so many post menopausal women.) I’ve had Cortisone injections in both hands which helped for a while, but those were prior to starting Acala.

Failed Back Surgery
In 2017 I had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis in L3/4/5. The operation was successful and for 3/4 months I was completely pain free for the first time in years! In 2018 I had a bad fall and this resulted in having a Rotator Cuff Repair which was successful but by now my spinal pain was back

Pin’s 📍are out 👍🏼
Took a little twisting to loosen them up and out they came with no pliers 😱. Little blood 🩸 but not too bad. Was a rough night last night needed a few pain pills, not much sleep. Throbbing this morning but bearable and it’s elevated. PT comes in at 11 o’clock and tomorrow Home Health to change bandages

Finally received Endo diagnosis following laparoscopy... advice/support for next steps please!
Hi Everyone, I had investigative laparoscopy surgery back in October this year. I finally had my endometriosis diagnosed (it's only taken 18 years, for someone to truly listen), it was removed along with scarring and I had a mirena coil fitted. The validation I had after the surgery was unlike anything

Not happy!!!
I have been told for nearly 5 years that I do not have
arthritis
and that the
pain
I am suffering with is due to my fibromyalgia!! I wasn’t convinced.

Pain meds
The fatigue I had was on another level, so I can now function but I am in so much
pain
with my fibro on top of my
arthritis
it's untrue! Iv been told that if I moan too much about my fibro pain they may even take me off the meds I'm currently on! So I'm scared to ask?

conflicted!
I finally saw a rheumatologist on September 10th. She advised I continue to reduce and for the last 3 weeks I have been on 7mg of prednisone. The blood tests came back normal and in her opinion I may be treating arthritis with prednisone. Which is a no no apparently. She warned of the risk of heart attack

What treatment worked best for Seronegative Inflammatory Arthritis?
Hiya I'm a newbie to NRAS, and had lots of side effects with various treatments for SNIA (Seronegative Inflammatory Arthritis). I am just about to restart taking Baricitinib after trying Methx, Sulfzine, Tocilizumab (infusions), Benepali, etc All of the above didn't last in terms of efficacy. I did

RA, Sjogrens desease, Cataracts in both eyes, now Lupus?
Hi All, Can anyone tell me if there is any medication that can help with Lupus? I’m taking Hydroxychloroquine, + several pain killers. The Sjogrens is causing a lot of problems with my eyes, now Lupus is showing it’s ugly head. It would be nice if anyone has any help they can offer.

Pain control
The Pain Clinic has suggested I take Tapentadol. I can't find anything about it on the internet. Has anybody taken this drug and could tell me about it.

off pred…. Update
good morning all. I have now been ‘off’ pred for 6 weeks. It’s been a bumpy ride. I started to have pain in my knees and thighs, which made walking and exercise difficult( never had this before). I took pain killers and reminded myself that the HPA triangle may not be up to speed. I started hydrotherapy

Yet more scans, and still stable.
I think I let you all know somewhere here, that I may have to change treatments, due to my Cancer markers rising all the time. I’m feeling more and more pain. Getting more and more tired. But they can’t see anything changing on my scans. so I will remain on Anastrozole and Ibrance for now. This is both
