Seromucinous borderline ovarian tumour
Following my laparotomy surgery last month (total hysterectomy, oophorectomy,
appendectomy
and omentum biopsy) I got the all clear. My frozen section and final pathology were both seromucinous borderline ovarian tumour stage 1a. Thank goodness for our fabulous NHS.

Are these statistics available here: average, youngest, oldest age at DX?
I am my PCP oldest patient who had an
appendectomy
and he is no spring chicken! A lot of med insurance has age restrictions for a lot of tests. Besides ignoring PCa ourselves, about the only commercials about it are peddling some medication.

AS accumulates in the appendix.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33876851/ the human appendix contains an abundance of insoluble α-synuclein similar to what has been found in the PD brain
appendectomy
occurring decades before disease onset was protective against PD.

Pelvic MRI - does it cover abdomen too?
My question is does the "pelvic MRI" cover the abdomen (and including diaphragm, since i also have pain behind left shoulder blade which could be linked to surgery i had in May for
appendectomy
(where surgeon noted ovarian cysts - thank goodness after not being taken seriously and no sonographer finding

Knee pain, lower back pain, musclepainbehind the legs, vertigo, non-stop headache, pain and tingling in the left arm, photosensitivity, nasal congestion,
appendectomy
, name it all. I have graduated from one medication to another. From physicians to specialists.

She is due in hospital at the end of this month to have it removed by doing a full Hysterectomy also a
appendectomy
and a omentectomy also to remove a small section of intestine and some tumours from the top right dome of her diaphragm.

Endo / bowl confusion - offered Laparoscopy by Gnae, no bowel surgeon to be present (not an option apparently)
In the last 15 years I have had: an
Appendectomy
; a Laparoscopy that diagnosed and treated mild endometriosis + adhesions between my ovary and intestine; successful pregnancy; and, an emergency C section.

Second Menopause?
This necessitated a total hysterectomy and
appendectomy
, fortunately both tumours were benign. In 2021 I started to have weight gain (not experienced previously) which I’ve not been able to completely lose and some hot flashes.

Appendectomy and PA
Curious if anyone here has also had an
appendectomy
and then, thinking back on it, presented PA symptoms a short time later? Thank you. And I'm an American. Seems I'm one of the few, but it's good to be here.

Treating recurrence with Doxil: Side Effects?
Prior to chemo I had a complete hysterectomy, omentectomy,
appendectomy
, and transverse colon resection. I now have a recurrence, with a tumor near the sigmoid colon and rectum. There is no surgery or radiation treatment they can do for this.

WHAT is even bleeding?
In 2019 I also had a bilateral oophorectomy, salpingectomy, omentectomy,
appendectomy
. In July2019 I was in remission but in March 2020 recurred achieving my current "partial response" stable status by October 2020. My CA125 Friday was stable. 16.

Not treated
Liver biopsy during gall bladder &
appendectomy
surgery. Diagnosed, not treated. Anyone hear been prescribed medication for this? Is it common for the gastro surgeon to not treat after diagnosis and send you on your way with only diet instructions? I weighed 150 at the time 2019 and now 170.

Appendix Removal and B12
I previously saw a reply mention that B12 deficiency could happen after having an
appendectomy
(maybe gone wrong?). I am wondering if anyone has any information on this? I am unable to find the comment now, but would love to know more.

I’m particularly worried about any abdominal surgery as I’ve already got scars from an
appendectomy
and epigastric hernia repair and want to make sure I see someone who can minimise scarring and also get me out of this horrific pain.

Open Appendectomy Recovery Advice — Is my dad healing? What do I look out for now?
It was an open
appendectomy
so I realize it’s a big surgery. It has now been 4.5 days after the surgery, we are still in the hospital (not ICU); I want to make sure we are on the right track and not missing anything. I love my dad very much and want the best for him.
