Dear friends,

I have a question for some of you who are primalib R sc?

I received the first R on December 17 iv and on December 25 I should receive the first sc injetion of R.

I am interested in premedication and experience, possible complications.

My problem is that I am malnourished, that the center and left side of my abdomen are full of postoperative scars and right side only one from the appendectomy. I have a series of smaller and larger angiomas on the skin of my abdomen.

All this scares me if I am even a candidate for R sc therapy?

Thanks in advance. and best regards!

Olga

Olga I am so very sorry to hear about your latest issues but I am afraid I don’t have any experience. The only thing I can suggest is, and when I was told I was malnourished, was to mix the energy drinks with fresh fruit to make them more drinkable.

If you have enough fat on the inside of your thighs that should work, I used that site in one study. It was a large volume subcutaneous monoclonal antibody similar to rituximab.

I had more fat inside my thighs than on my stomach back then. The shots were given about 4 inches/10 cm inside my thigh down from my crotch line. I wore loose spandex shorts under a skirt, where I could push a leg of the short up (in addition to the skirt) for the injection without getting undressed.

I did subcutaneous injections of a different drug (blood thinner) myself. My stomach skin was not comfortable for me. I was able to do it on the outside of my upper leg, just finding some fatty skin and lightly pinching it to make it thicker.

Dear Olga, I have had Rituximab in conjunction with a 24-monthVenetoclax treatment, but that was always IV. I have no experience with Rituximab given SC.

I wish you all the best!
