Have any of you been diagnosed with Loeys- Dietz Syndrome? My results came back in May 2022 TGFB3- syndrome 5.
I was tested my my rheumatologist due to Ehlers Danlos, multiple hernias beginning age 18 months, cervical instability, and my mother passed away from clotting complications ( anti phospholipid syndrome) and surgical complications post AAA (
aortic
abdominal
aneurysm
) repair/ graph surgery.

Erratic Heart Rate - Afib or Tachycardia 24 hour heart monitor.
Since my Open Heart Surgery's twice in April 2019 for an Ascending Thoracic
Aortic
Aneurysm
I've had Afib and Tachycardia issues and was on Amiodarone for a few and months and now on bisoprolol. It settled for a while but its gradually came back and more recently its gotten more frequent.

anyone tried or recommended to use Secukinumab(cosentyx) for GCA?
These findings were a bit disturbing, as I developed a Thoracic
Aortic
Aneurysm
from GCA. Thus thought would reach out for any insight from this knowledgeable group.

I was meant to go in to hospital at the end of September 2020 for an aorta and

Expiration date
After reading about the (supposed?) shortage of B12 in UK, I, too, am wondering if PanPharma’s shortened expiration date from 2 years to one year has contributed to this perceived shortage. Have we gotten the final answer on why PanPharma shortened their expiry date? Does anyone know if the inactive

Besremi has (No?) Preservative
This is info is just for curious types, nothing of concern or worry for us Bes users. -Most injectables have some means for preserving. Refrigerating is a 1st line of defense. For Besremi there is confusing info on whether and what type of preservative beyond keeping it cold Besremi uses. In the

I’m new here, but wanted to share a positive message and touch on post heart attack mental health
I’m 58 and suffered a heart attack (STEMI), on a plane followed by cardiogenic shock in April 2022. I have 5 stents fitted to two arteries supplying my heart. I went into cardiogenic shock shortly after the first 4 stents were inserted during the heart attack. I was taken into intensive care and had

Cisplatin based chemotherapy and neck irradiation for cancer has caused Parkinsonism/MSA symptoms in my husband and no diagnosis yet. Help.
He has a small infrarenal
aortic
aneurysm
that on measurements is stable for now. His baroreceptors have been damaged from neck radiation. He went to a neurologist for many years that did sleep studies, and my husband has since been using a CPAP at night for sleep apnea/oxygen.

Strange one I had open heart surgery twice in 2019 for an Ascending
Aortic
Aneurysm
. Though as far as I know my heart was in good condition. I then had bouts of Afib following surgery. More recently I've had bouts of Tachycardia.

I couldn’t have blood thinners because I have an ascending
aortic
aneurysm
. The negative result suggested it’s not a blood clot but GP did not give me an idea what might be the cause. My right knee has now become swollen as well and feels quite tight. Any idea? Cheers

Tapering, back-update etc.
Thankfully, he was being monitored for a lung infection when they found an ascending
aortic
aneurysm
that doubled in size in six months. His most recent scan a week ago revealed this. They'll be replacing the valve to the heart as well.

Waiting for surgery
They have scanned me on an annual basis and the last 3 years they have been concerned about an
aortic
aneurysm
developing. It started at 46mm 3 years ago last February it had grown to 51mm. I was told I will need an aortic root replacement surgery.

Aortic Disease Guideline for 2022 from the ACC/AHA is out!
The third change is a strong recommendation that first-degree relatives of anyone with an
aneurysm
of the
aortic
root or ascending aorta, or with an aortic dissection, should be screened with aortic imaging.

My uncle
Wondered if anyone can help me my uncle has an
aortic
aneurysm
, top of the heart which hasn’t grown for 5 years. Along with valve issues. He has recently gone on waiting list for surgery. He’s getting a lot of symptoms of bring up phlegm and heavy legs. Wondered if anyone else has had it.
